OI YEAH NAH — this game’s an absolute weapon🐱🎣 Starts off cruisy, then you’re upgrading gear like you just got paid and went straight to BCF. Some of these fish fight harder than your cousin after six tinnies at Christmas. When a massive unit snaps your line, it’s personal. I was out for revenge. No ads, no pay-to-win rubbish, just pure fishin’ chaos and “one more go” energy. Chill enough to play half asleep, but still gets the blood pumpin’ when a big bastard shows up. If you don’t like this game, you probably microwave your VB. 11/10 — crack a cold one and send it. 🍺🎣

I bought this game on sale thinking it would make for a cute little game to stream for an hour or two. I didn't expect much from it since I basically went in only seeing the price tag. Fifteen hours later I can now say that this game has an absurd mechanical depth and amount of content I was not expecting from something that I got for 3 dollars. Over 100 fish to catch, many with detailed catch requirements. Some fish require you to maneuver your hook through labyrinth-like caves. Some fish require you to kite other fish to them in order for them to bite the hook. Some fish require you to maneuver your hook through labyrinth-like caves WHILE being chased by another fish so you can hook a specific type of bait that you can use to catch the fish that's chasing you. Oh my GOD some of these fish have absurd catch requirements! Got a real good shock when I first got my bait stolen by the dragon lol. There are even secret fish and fish that can only spawn on certain days. I cannot recommend this game enough for the price, It's enjoyable, has a deceptively high skill ceiling in realism mode, and can easily offer more than a dozen hours of playtime if you commit yourself to catching as many fish as you can. My biggest piece of advice to anyone new: start doing as many quests as you can as soon as you get them. I made the mistake of ignoring them until level 40 or so and now I'm stuck having to grind quests for fish that are VERY difficult to catch lmao. There's also a dedicated wiki for the game, though I do not recommend you look through it until you at least get the opportunity to get jumpscared a few times by some of the bigger fish in the game (I had some surprises ruined for me after wiki diving and I'm kinda sad about it lol). Honestly, using the wiki IS practically necessary in order to figure out how to catch some of the fish. Like I said before, some of these fish have extremely specific things that you have to do to catch them. All in all, this game was an EXTREMELY pleasant surprise, considering I got it for so cheap. If you like fishing, hooking what might as well be elder gods, and cats, I HIGHLY recommend this game!
