City Defence Z is one of those games that starts off super chill, but before you know it, you’re hooked. At first I was just playing here and there, but next thing I knew, I was chasing the leaderboard. The gameplay is simple but satisfying, with that "just one more round" vibe that keeps you coming back. When I first jumped in, I ran into a couple of bugs, but nothing game-breaking. There was a small sound issue and a couple of achievements that wouldn’t pop, which was a bit annoying. That said, within a couple of weeks, everything was patched, and I've had no issues since. I’ve now finished all the achievements and hit 100%, and I’ll definitely be back whenever they drop new updates. If you’re after something chill but with a little bit of challenge, City Defence Z is definitely worth checking out.

You can ignore the old optimization reviews I hesitated to buy at first after seeing negative comments about crashes, but after seeing developers being active I gave it a shot and everything seems to be working fine on my GTX 1650 laptop. apart from that game has a really simple design I get the "like a mobile game" reviews designs but it has a strange asmr is so addictive also I like the simplicity of the design its a game where I do not need to think too much. I just place my troops, merge buildings, and watch the defenses smash zombie hordes cons: it would be really good to have different level designs across maps would love to see new troops/defense units or zombie types. I give it 7/10 star

City Defense Z offers a compelling roguelite twist on tower defense, with clever mechanics and a developer team that listens. While still rough and occasionally unclear, its early-stage issues are actively being addressed. If you're into strategic base-building and can roll with evolving mechanics, it's definitely worth a try—especially at the current launch price during the introductory discount. Just be prepared for some quirks along the way. Unique card-driven city building, roguelite depth, strong early concept, responsive developers. Repetitive loop, UI can be clunky, some systems (farms, expeditions) feel unfinished. Players who enjoy experimental tower-defense hybrids, appreciate developer follow-through, and don’t mind beta-level polish. 7/10 DISASTER | BAD | MEDIOCRE | OKAY | GOOD | GREAT |AMAZING| MASTERPIECE Reviewed on: Win11 Home 64-bit, Intel i5-11600K, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB TUF, 32GB DDR4-3600 RAM, 2 x Kingston NV1 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD, Internet Broadband 1000/1000 Mbit If you like this review, then please consider giving it a thumbs up. Been waiting for a zombie horde game like this. After wave 30 fences you place are invisible / are being placed and not showing up. Other than that 10/10 EDIT: After getting the farm plot meta upgrades for additonal farm plots, they do not show up, but if you work around having only two base plots then its not too bad. I am sure it will be fixed soon. EDIT-EDIT: They fixed everything I mentioned. Super 10/10

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. Thats a really fun game. It is perfect for chilling time ( on first average 20 days, after is chaos you must think, sitting straight and focus ) -Puzzle is amazing but time is not enough, i get stressed on making organized city please time little longer ( or on permanent maybe) -Night it satisfaction, running zombie is bastard...... >>>>Of course, there are a few bugs. After seeing the some AAA games, these are acceptable for indie studio. I hope they fix them as soon as possible so the game can get one step closer to perfect. When coming to HOTFIX?
