I LOVE THIS GAME! even though i beat it like a million times, i still come back for more! i only have 3 requests for this great sequel: CO-OP, PVP, and Character customization! especially the last one! what made cditdz so good is the replayibility (I probably spelled that wrong but who cares) . with endless mode, PVP, and character customization and all! wouldn't it be so fun to slice your buddy in 2 while in vr?! and wouldn't it be so cool to face the captain TOGETHER?! i have a few suggestions for the character customization part: 1. you might be able to unlock certain parts after certain challenges (node head and body after talking to all the looprunners in the quarters, captain skin for unlocking the skyscraper (thus beating the game), looprunner bodies for beating them in 1 on 1s, regular old fighting droid heads for killing 10, red ones mean 20, purple means 30, there could be a salvaged version of blink or the captain for reaching titanium in the skyscraper) and 2, a mirror in the loading room to customize your character. I said it once and i'll say it a million times if i have to: I LOVE THIS GAME! DOBOROG, if you are reading this (besides the VERY slim chance), try to impliment this into what i said and my suggestions into this great sequel. okay?

Just like the first game, this one is raw unadulterated fun. There is no annoying VR gimmicks that you know clearly doesn't work. No, the game just sets a few rules and let you play around. The bad points would be the lack of settings I guess ? which can be fairly easily solved through other steam rebinding settings (though it would be easier if I could set left hand mode inside the game...) I guess also the fact that NPC are animated like VRChat character using probably a VR headset and controllers, but you know what ? I like this animation, makes them feel a bit more alive, with them being robots and all that. The high point ? I just parried a sword with the arrow on my bow as if I was hawkeye and then shot it in my enemy's head. That was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool and I'm just gonna continue having fun with that

I would have recommended it before the update but now the most definitely I do. The game has an easier story mode (Crashloop) and a more challenging action focused mode (Skyscrapper endless). The story is not insanely riveting but the characters are fun and I think that's what's important in an action game like this. It was very satisfying fighting the robots at launch, but quickly after you pass the honeymoon period the edges of the combat system actually did feel quite janky. But now in the "Skyscrapper" update I think a number of changes bump the quality of the experience up a lot. Fighting is smoother across the board, more customizable with difficulty tweaking and importantly much more consistent/predictable. I feel you need to judge for yourself if this game is for you, the combat system isn't really deep but it is extremely novel and if freeform cutting of robots looks fun this game will be delivering on that front. The game feels polished at this point and the develepers are bound to update it more, totally worth $26 imo.

Clone Drone in the Hyperdome attempts and succeeds in giving you exactly what you want. The swordplay feels fun, weighty, cinematic, and gives enough variety for anyone to choose a favorite. Enemies feel appropriately aggressive and their attacks can come from any direction, making reaction time everything. And with Clone Drone, getting hit doesn't mean instant death (so long as it's not your head) as you are indeed a robot, meaning you can have your limbs chopped off and still fight. The combat overall is probably the best thing the game has going for it, which in VR, is a lot. The characters and world presented are both great as well. The world, for those who have not played Clone Drone in the Danger Zone, is quite serviceable. For returning players, it feels like it's found its identity following the former game's conclusion. Returning commentators and a new roster of characters to get attached to or drive them into the ground, Hyperdome gave great performances that made each character feel unique. Up-and-coming star, the coach, the short and energetic ninja, coder, anarchist, chivalrous knight, necromancer, and of course you. The game gives a great reason as to your character not having many lines of dialogue and implements it in a way that doesn't feel immersion-breaking. The big gimmick of Hyperdome's battling system is that you face off against these characters, and if you choose to defeat someone in the first bout, they get angry because their ratings drop and they face a potential erasure. This function at the end of the day means nothing. There are no consequences to targeting and KO'ing a certain character other than them being angry with you. This anger subsides over time and by the end of the game these relationships don't matter ultimately. It's for creating drama and it all really depends on the player to believe the consequences rather than their actual function. I believed it was a real function when I first played the game, and only after finishing did I research if there were any consequences. There were none. This year, as of writing this review, released the Skyscrapper which is an infinite floor type challenge to see how far you can make it, and implements some features not even used in the main game, showing just how much this team cares for this project. Real obstacles and traps can be found, and if you've mastered the combat in the game, then this was made just for you in the scenario that the base game becomes too easy. I myself have not gotten too far in the Skyscrapper, as my headset (Quest 2 that is, in fact, on life support), struggles at times to run the game smoothly and suffers from the worst drift any of my controllers have ever had. Nonetheless was a great addition and I'm looking forward to trying it again in the future when I have a better headset. I do want to also mention the music for the game is not my usual cup of tea, but while playing it felt just right for the game. Some of the tracks I even listen to on my own because they were that good in my opinion. Shoutout Abby Pryor. Overall Clone Drone in the Hyperdome is a solid addition to any VR gamer. With accessibility options that allow needing easy swings to full power swings, to wonderful and satisfying combat, to a very unique hit system, to great character personalities, and so much more. And of course, a lot of love from the dev team.

Great game. Before the skyscrapper update my only problem was that it was to easy, but now that has been fixed. It's a must buy for anyone who plays vr games!!!
