Overall better than most other eroge, but with a huge problem: the protagonist is an immature monkey with zero filter between his monkey brain and his mouth/hands. I guess this is supposed to be funny, but not for me. This makes pretty much every route I've experienced so far off-putting to some degree. There are still a lot of moments that do make me laugh, like the comedy antics of the drama sub-group and constant slip-ups of tsundere characters (whom I normally hate, but for some reason in this game they appeal to me, probably because of good voice acting). I guess I could say there are more things I like about this game than the things I hate. No eroge I've experienced so far has managed to break the mold, but this one came close to doing that.

Very pleasantly surprised. A lot of heart and care is put into everything and all. For a happy, good feeling visual novel, there are some good fitting somber moments in it to give it a memorable identity. A very pretty soundtrack with the visuals to back it up. The writing is very pervy which will put off some people if they're not into that style of humor but pushing through it is worth it for the genuine, heartwarming romance storytelling. It amuses me greatly that the best routes are the two sisters of the main protagonist but they're not at all related so it's fine lol (a small good chance one might end up on either of their routes accidentally but that's probably a good thing). It was a very good touch to be able to witness the reactions of the other characters when a route is pursued, a lot of broken hearted reactions which makes the route chosen impactful, even if it is sad. They all have to mature with the decisions made by others, which is surprising to see in this moege genre of visual novels. I do wish there were more interactions between the father and the maid, Shion; I found their interactions to have a very cute dynamic when they revealed how serious they were for each other. This is a very good read if you're feeling down. I really hope the other two Clover stories will get an English release some day (and some day soon).

Oh boy, how do I explain this one...? First, let me acknowledge all the issues this title has, because they are massive issues that one needs to consider before buying this game: First, Yutto is such a degenerate that at times it's not even funny. A pervert that ogles each of the main characters -- including his own sisters -- on more than one occasion. For that matter, most of the adults are equally scummy, and it's... uncomfortable. Second, I understand that the anime artstyle is very youth-coated, and that the age of consent is different in Japan, but dammit, half the cast looks like they're first-years in *middle school.* I get it's hypocritical of me to say that, when I tout Atri as the best RVN out there, but this is... too much. Especially since two of the characters are Yutto's adoptive sisters. And it's made infinitely worse by: Third, *this is an HVN.* To see the story in its entirety with no lost context or important dialogue, you need to find and download the 18+ patch. Yes, these middle-school-looking-ass characters have hardcore s*x scenes; animated ones, at that. Good thing there's a damn skip button. So why do I recommend this, despite all these huge issues? And why is it one of my favourites? Because the rest of the characters are incredibly strong and endearing, the stories they tell are entertaining and heart-felt, and *my lord this is bar none the funniest one I've seen.* This being a longer VN. you might find yourself taking upwards of 100 hours to read all of it. Though for most people, it'd likely be more to the tune of 60-70, so it's good bang for your buck, as well. All the sprites and CG's are animated, meaning characters are slowly bobbing up and down and blinking, which adds immersion. And, very interestingly, the text box is dynamic; it move to whichever character is talking, making for an interesting way to read everything. I'd also be remiss to not mention the music, which is also one of my favourite parts of this one. But that's enough honourable mentions, I need to talk about the heroines. Anzu, touted by everyone who plays this as best girl with the best story, lives up to those expectations handily. She's the innocent one with the most tragic backstory of all the heroines. There wasn't a moment where I did not enjoy seeing her on screen (barring the H-scenes). Her story has possibly the most layers to it, with so many moving parts and conflicts; this one puts the drama of two sisters loving the same person at the fore-front, and it's hard to read, but in a good way. Definitely the strongest story, and definitely my favourite character. Anri's the studious one, hell-bent on using her spare time to hit the books; specifically with Yutto. She takes after those with the more "tough love" approach despite originally being exactly like Anzu. Her story has one of the most intense segments for the climax of the first half, and the second half is filled with twists left right and centre. It was a blast. Izumi is very often neglected by those who read this as "the annoying tsundere." Those who haven't given her story a chance are missing out, I tell you. Tied with Anzu for the most involved story, it tells about very deep topics as well, while shining a huge light on one of the side characters, Mizuho, and telling a very heart-felt story about re-connection. Hekiru and Hikaru, the identical twins that kick the whole story off, don't disappoint either. To not spoil anything, I'll just say that, while it's technically one of the weaker stories, it's still strong and worth your time to read through. Hekiru is one of the sweetest and oddly funniest of the group, being the catalyst for the plot, and all. Hikaru is also silently the most observant and helpful one of the bunch, despite her cold demeanour. Let's not forget Tsubame, the one with the southern accent for some reason, and is tied with Izumi for the second-most-obviously-in-love award. Her story is the least involved, but I still greatly enjoyed reading through it. Her and Yutto's banter is possibly one of the best things about her route and character, it does the best job at showing how close they are without being too in-your-face, like Anzu's adorable quips. She and her brother are a joy to read through -- when Torakichi's not being a sexist freak. This is a visual novel that can only be tolerated by a certain demographic: those that either don't mind, are willing to skip, or are into the s**t it pulls. The above issues are absolutely reasonable deal-breakers for most people, and I am genuinely surprised that this has a 96% as of writing this. Though I guess those who wouldn't like it just won't read it; fair enough. But, if you are in this demographic, or you're willing to humour me, I highly recommend trying this one out. Past the more-than-questionable Yutto quips, the downright gross adults, and the ever-present H-scenes that make me worry I'm going to jail; there are adorable and amazing characters, very strong chemistry, great stories, amazing art and music, and above all, no time where you won't be grinning or laughing your ass off. As another reviewer said: The quality of this degeneracy is astounding. 9/10

Clover Day's is a good but cliché moege from ALcot that has a decent mix of humor and drama, but I think extremely predictable and cliche writing prevents it from being truly great. If you've read other ALcot titles and enjoyed them, then you'll probably enjoy this as it seems to have similar strengths and weaknesses to their other titles I've read. The characters in Clover Day's are all osananajimi, with multiple sections of the story taking place during flashbacks to 10 years prior to the current events in the story. In fact all of the choices present in the story take place during these flashbacks. I really like this approach as it gives a better sense of gradual emotions coming about rather than just falling in love with a person within the span of a few weeks. The other end of this is that I wish there was more time passing during the routes or into the epilogues than there was in most cases. Story-wise there's nothing particularly uncommon or interesting here. If you've read enough moege then no story bit will be that surprising, and most of the drama is pretty well foreshadowed, with only a few bits coming as a surprise at all. With the pacing of the story as well I feel like this is a negative as most of the drama is foreshadowed significantly before it happens, so in some routes they ended up feeling dragged out a bit. The humor present in Clover Day's is pretty heavily skewed towards sex jokes, with some slapstick being thrown in for good measure. While it was amusing at first, I pretty quickly drew tired of them as it tends to become one-note after a while, especially when binge reading like I do. I did particularly like the letters from the characters inbetween chapters of the story, which added quite a nice touch and a clear delineation between chapters. The systems are fairly standard as you'd expect. Music is good throughout and adds to most scenes, with the worst BGM just being neutral. Overall I'd recommend Clover Day's to most moege readers, especially if you have read and enjoyed other ALcot works or enjoy perverted humor in general. If you don't like perverted jokes then I'd stay away, because there's very little humor in the game that does not fall under that category.
