I haven’t gone through many vn so my take on the genre’s pretty limited, but Summer Pockets is easily top tier out of all I’ve played. It’s a Key title with Jun Maeda as lead writer, so u know there’s real depth hiding under that sunny summer vibe. The cgs, story depth and va work are all flawless, and it nails emotional beats perfectly. I always feel Key doesn’t just do surface level romance. They hit u right in the feels with family themes instead, and this game’s no different. My personal fav is Ao’s route. Her character writing and VA are so well done. I prob won’t forget this vn anytime soon.

Summer Pockets STORY Key does not betray, especially Jun Maeda. The story is excellent and well-written. You can see that different story has their own interesting parts, including how the character face the heroine's issue. The roller coaster ride is insane as usual, with the build up comedy just for certain scene to hit harder. You really need to prepare yourself for the ride to actually enjoy this visual novel. I also love how all the events in the game is actually connected and it will make sense once you have progressed further into the story. CHARACTERS The characters are great. Each character has their own charming personality. The dynamic between each the heroines and main character is very interesting, especially Ao and Hairi duo, which leads me into reading Ao's route twice. The dumb trio (Hairi, Ryouichi, and Tenzen) is also fun to watch. Tsumugi Wenders is also cute with her "Mugyu" sound effects. The character development is amazing, especially our main character Hairi. SOUNDTRACKS The soundtracks hits then expected. Can't believe how many times i've listened to the soundtracks over and over again, and can still feel depressed. That is how good the soundtracks are. My absolute favourite soundtracks are Sea, You Next, and Yasouka. VISUALS The visuals are excellent. Everything is perfect. Love the visual. Rating: 10/10 Note: I havent explored the Islamon, but i will definitely review it once i have played it. Also, during the time of review (a.k.a. personal review), I am still doing Reflection Blue.

An excellent novel and anime from my favorite studio, Key🎈. You can play the game and watch the anime—it's very engaging. This further enhances the immersion. All the characters have interesting personalities and are perfectly cast. For example, Hairi Takahara reasoning is very impressive for a 16-year-old. I think he's 100% worthy of Shiroha, although the other girls are interesting too. Shiroha stands out due to her difficult and tragic fate. I liked that she's a good fisherman and cook, which means she could be taken on a yacht for a serious marlin and tuna fishing trip, but thats just my imagination😇
