Cocoon may be one of the best and most interesting spatial puzzle games I have ever played. The art is gorgeous, the music is fantastic, and it is actually difficult in some ways. It also does something I feel is quite commendable. It actually evokes the surrealism of an alien world. Nothing is so abstract that it isn't recognizable of technology (I.E. H.R. Geiger) but it is still not grounded enough to have a recognizable purpose from our perception. It really succeeds in giving off the feeling that you are toying with things you do not understand, but they still are tangible in their function. This is the perfect goldielox zone for this feeling and it is something even great writers and sci-fi artists struggle with. The gameplay has just as much to praise. The act of cocooning the different worlds is extremely interesting and abstract, and while many of the puzzles are straightforward, they still force you to change your way of thinking to complete them and immerse yourself in the world to solve. The boss fights definitely could have used some tightening, they do not compliment the gameplay as well as they could have, but they were still very visually interesting and served a good purpose in the pacing. I think going into detail would be redundant, because I recommend you play this game, and if you are reading this and haven't, it would only lessen your experience to deeply analyze. Go on. Play it.

Great game for all puzzle lovers! Cocoon is a brilliant little puzzle game that sneaks up on you. It has a world-inside-a-world mechanic which is mind-bending (literally), reminding me of portal 2 puzzles and the puzzles are smart without being frustrating. The atmosphere is beautiful, although the story is a little harder to follow. This game is roughly 5 hours long. It's satisfying, and the game is full of light bulb moments, it makes you feel like your brain just activated. If you love clever puzzles and exploring a strange world don’t miss this one.

Men in Black Ending - The Video Game. Really cool concept. Haven't seen level/world-transitions this smooth since Ratchet & Clank - Rift Apart. Good job!

Do you like puzzles? Do you like horrible biotechnology? Do you like the uncomfortable mental logistics of recursion and the various paradoxes that come with it? If you said yes to any of these, then you should definitely get this game.
