Such a simple premise and yet so much fun! The key is to take your time and be thorough with each car. Game options let you tune how much time each day is, whether or not you get raided or ambushed on the road, and tweak how much you can use the document comparison feature. If you have OCD and are a stickler for imposing government bureaucracy on your fellow man, this is the game you're looking for. 10/10 Would send a poor, starving family's father to the labor camp again. Glory to Acaristan!

i like the game, but kinda wish there was co-op. I play most of my games with friends so would be kinda cool to see multiplayer in the future especially having an extra set of eyes to make sure nothing is missed

I thought I was a good man. It turns out, I'm the kind of man to sell his soul for a totalitarian regime. I just shot an old man because I didn't like the tone of his voice, and I've massacred countless freedom fighters in the name of our Great Dictator. I must defend the borders of our glorious socialist paradise from capitalists, imperialists, and old men who let their passports expire. Not on my watch! I'll gladly drive you, and several friends, to a labour camp for the most minor of crimes. Watching this filth break rocks is my elixir (apart from Vodka obviously). I don't accept bribes, and I do use my pistol at the slightest provocation. I might even take out your vehicle with a grenade. Glory to Acaristan, death to traitors, and victory for the revolution comrades!

I had a guy arrive at the border in a van saying that he was carrying medicine to cure children with stage 4 cancer. Unfortunately, his passport was expired by 1 day so i slashed all of his tires, sent him to the labour camp for the rest of his life and blew up the remaining contents of the van with a grenade. 10/10 game would recommend.

If you like Papers Please you will like Contraband Police. This game adds more depth to the idea as well. Car chases, shootouts, investigating criminal cases like a detective, and the number of things to check is significantly higher than in PP. It is amazing how many times I think I have thoroughly checked a vehicle, only for the car to leave and me being scolded for having overseen things. It is equally frustrating and motivating to do better next time. The game is well worth the money and there have been good discounts recently. The graphics are a bit outdated but this is one of those games where the gameplay takes center stage. Glory to Arztotzka!
