I don't know what it is about cooking games like this but so far every one I've tried has failed miserably at making a functioning tutorial. For example on this one for day one, it has you cooking a salmon steak with some boiled potatoes. It tells you to set up the pot with the potatoes and never has you do anything with it so they don't cook in time. It focuses on the steak and then the tutorial stops telling you what to do or how to do it and the timer runs out and you fail. It literally sets you up to fail. There are timers scattered about that you can use to help you remember things when multi tasking but there is no button on screen which indicates how to make them work. I had to search online to find out how to do it because the game can't be bothered. There is literally no tutorial on how to clean. I had to find that out on my own with trial and error, a LOT of error then finally searching online to learn how to do it. It's so simple, it could have been the easiest tutorial of them all had they even tried. Another stupid thing is that you are supposed to use the trashcan to dispose of excess liquids or to clean off dirty cutting boards, pots, pans etc. Again, no tutorial so it's either guess work (and who would guess to pour liquids into a trashcan) or search online to learn it. If you interact with the trashcan one extra time by mistake it permanently throws the pot/pan away which is an extremely expensive mistake in the early game. You can load up the last quicksave but it will be from the beginning of the day and everything you did thus far is lost. The majority of the equipment in the kitchen has no tutorials on how to use them. I failed so many times at trying to cut french fries until I happened upon an automatic cutter in the kitchen that does it perfectly. There is other equipment that I still haven't used. I've never seen a game fail so miserably at teaching you how to play the game. With all of that harping noted above, the one saving grace that prevents this from being an unmitigated disaster is that the devs included a relax mode that removes the timers for cooking. This way you can take your time, learn from your millions of mistakes, and there will be millions of them, and get a feel for everything. The actual gameplay itself isn't bad once you eventually know what you are doing. The details are quite nice. You pile up some shrimp in a pan and the one on top isn't in the fluid? It won't cook and that will slow you down. There is one soup that has multiple ingredients and one of them cooks a lot faster than the others so you can experiment with adding that ingredient later on. It is definitely an addicting game overall.

The game is an Neutral Rating for me, i will do the positive and negative paragraphs each. P: Cooking Sim is a game on where you can basically own a restaurant and earn points from cooking. I enjoy this game because it has a variety of things to cook. There is a sandbox mode and career mode. I like sandbox more because i can mess around and mess up kitchens. In career mode, i try to cook professionally. N: The game has some issues i want the developers to improve on. 1. the sink cleaning, When i try to cleans the sink after making some kind of soup, i cant reach some spots of my sink with my sponge. 2. The Models aren't realistic like its supposed to be. 3. Foods get stuck in random assets and looks awfully glitched. 4. i don't have a problem on it but a few other players might need the game to improve. It is the way you cook, sometimes, some player mess up by crouching down on something and messing up things. And finally, Fix the issues when the order isn't correct for no reason. I was making a pork chop or something and it said i put salmon in, what nonsense.
