Barista Simulator, developed and published by CubeCube Sports Ltd., is a detailed first-person simulation that aims to replicate the day-to-day realities of running a coffee shop with a strong emphasis on authenticity. Rather than simplifying the process for accessibility, the game leans into the technical aspects of coffee preparation, inviting players to learn the intricacies of brewing, serving, and managing a café. From the beginning, it positions itself as a more serious simulation experience, one that requires attention to detail and a willingness to engage with its systems on a deeper level. The centerpiece of the game is its coffee-making mechanic, which is both immersive and demanding. Players must prepare a wide variety of drinks by following precise steps, including grinding beans, extracting espresso, steaming milk, and assembling beverages according to specific recipes. Each stage requires careful execution, and even small inaccuracies can lead to poor results. This focus on precision gives the process a strong sense of realism, making successful orders feel genuinely satisfying. At the same time, it introduces a steep learning curve, as players are expected to remember measurements and workflows, especially when handling multiple orders at once. Beyond the preparation of drinks, the game expands into full café management, adding another layer of complexity. Players begin with a modest setup and gradually build their business by upgrading equipment, unlocking new recipes, and improving the overall environment of their shop. Managing inventory, maintaining machines, and ensuring customer satisfaction become key responsibilities as the café grows. The inclusion of staff management allows players to delegate tasks over time, shifting the experience from hands-on work to a broader managerial role. This progression creates a sense of growth that keeps the experience engaging over longer play sessions. The pacing is shaped by a time-based system where customers arrive with specific orders and expectations. Players must balance speed and accuracy, as delays or mistakes can negatively affect reputation and earnings. This introduces a level of pressure that contrasts with the otherwise methodical nature of the gameplay. Early on, the combination of time constraints and complex preparation steps can feel overwhelming, but as players become more familiar with the mechanics, a natural rhythm begins to form. This gradual mastery is one of the more rewarding aspects of the experience. Visually, the game adopts a realistic style that supports its simulation focus. The café environment and equipment are designed to resemble real-world counterparts, contributing to a sense of immersion. While the overall presentation is functional and effective, it does not always feel polished, with certain animations and interface elements lacking refinement. The user interface, in particular, can feel dense at times, especially for newcomers trying to navigate the various systems and tools available. An interesting element of the game is its occasional departure from strict realism. While most of the experience is grounded in accurate procedures, there are moments of exaggerated or unexpected behavior that add a touch of personality. These instances can provide a break from the otherwise structured gameplay, though they may feel slightly inconsistent with the overall tone of the simulation. Despite its depth, the game is not without its challenges. The complexity of its systems can be intimidating, particularly for players unfamiliar with coffee preparation. Repetitive tasks may begin to feel monotonous over time, especially during longer sessions where the same processes are repeated frequently. Additionally, the level of micromanagement required can be exhausting, as players must constantly monitor multiple aspects of their café to maintain efficiency. Even with these drawbacks, Barista Simulator succeeds in offering a comprehensive and engaging look at the craft of coffee-making and the responsibilities of running a café. Its commitment to realism and detailed mechanics sets it apart from more casual simulation titles, providing a rewarding experience for those willing to invest the time to learn its systems. While it may not appeal to everyone due to its demanding nature, it stands as a solid and immersive simulation that captures the essence of its subject. Rating: 8/10

Lots of easy fun! There's a little learning curve, but the game lets you tackle them at your own pace. I do find that some items scale poorly - wrestling my milk needs late game is one example. I also wish that the pumps were more like "shots" and didn't pour out. I also find that pouring in general is far too slow. Getting a big filter coffee order is just holding down the pour key for a very long time. One big thing I'd like to see improved is the custom recipe feature. It's annoying to click the increase button to add large amounts of ingredients to a drink. I also find it annoying that the cup needs to be totally filled. The cortado, for example, isn't filling a cup at all and yet, exists. Despite my critical notes, I play this game frequently and I really like it. I would keep playing through more expansions and things like that.

Hey steam community! I've been playing this game for the past two weeks or so and I've got to say this is exactly what I was looking for in a coffee simulator. I was looking for a coffee game after watching "The Night Shift" by Chilla's Arts, but I just wanted a game with the coffee aspect and none of the horror. Below are my thoughts of what I liked and what I think can be improved! WINS: - There’s a noticeable difference between the iced drinks, hot drinks, filter coffee, etc. recipes that makes the barista aspect one of my favorite parts of the game - The expansion and leveling up feels nice and rewarding - The cafe and character skills feel rewarding as well - The resource management aspect is a fun part of the game! - Overall the vast majority of the game is overwhelmingly positive for me CAN BE IMPROVED: - Better sorting for the Menu like a search function or separate tabs for ice, hot drinks, filter coffee etc. OR sort it alphabetically for faster searching Expanded decorations (the decorating aspect feels repetitive and boring) see below: - Potted plants (big and small) - Table decorations (candles, small vase, or small table top menus) - Fake menu decorations (A-frame chalkboard etc.) - Bookshelves or boardgames for decoration and for improved customer satisfaction - Standing floor lamps decorations - Allowing customers to sit outside (not sure if customers do sit outside) - More recipes to unlock like teas or milk substitutions for increased coffee shop customization - Pinning multiple orders for one customer OR a separate tool you can purchase to display multiple orders Again, one of my favorite games! I highly reccommend you try it out as it is. I hope it keeps on updating and expanding and I hope to keep playing it going forward. Keep up the good work devs!
