I've followed the creation of this game for what feels like over a decade, before the turbo edition, and played it a fair bit outside of steam. I really enjoyed it, and if you like megaman and/or kirby with a sprinkling of deviantart, then definitely give it a shot. I completed almost everything the game has to offer outside of a few achievements I don't really care about very much. For the eventual sequel, here are some things on my wishlist: * More story oriented rather than scenario-based. You have the entire world of Zoincailla built up and I want to see it * More level variety: I felt a few of the worlds here were a bit samey (mainly the "factory" style ones) * Tighter weapon focus: Many combinations don't offer anything unique. I would love to see more like the sword, shuriken, or electromagnet. There's always room for lasers and explosions, but I want different ways to blow things up * A new playable character would be cool. Maybe something melee or trap focused? * Dare I say even bigger robots? Azure and Raibys, thank you for making this game. I know it took a while and wasn't always easy, but finally completing it brings back a lot of memories and ties up some loose ends for me.

Fantastic game, running and gunning while mixing all the item drops, it's like kirby by way of megaman as a teenage catgirl. felt fantastic to play, and while there were like 2-3 iffy levels...that's out of 135. and then you have another character and hard mode! Absolutely recommend, it's on my list to return to if I ever have the time :3

It's taken me a long time to find the words to describe how I feel about this game. I had never really encountered anything like it beforehand, and i haven't been able to find anything that can quite match how this makes me feel since (apart from Sunfluffs, the second game by these developers, lol) But with a few years and around 200 hours of playtime, i finally figured out what made this game so special to me. I have ADHD and Autism, which means i interact with people and media quite a bit differently than many others. Certain things are a whole lot more engaging. For instance, games that can trigger big spikes of dopamine tend to be much more engaging for those with ADHD. Copy Kitty has that in spades: there's explosions and lasers across every level and environment, great sound design that makes destroying stuff feel great, and a banging ass dynamic soundtrack that keeps you glued to the screen. Additionally, Copy Kitty has tons of additional depth to its gameplay and its world for those willing to dig further into things. I mean hell, I finished my playthrough of the main content about 20 hours in, and I'm still coming back for more! It's only recently that I've begun to master Boki's Drill Kick, working it into every level I clear. Not to mention all the lore present (The universe Copy Kitty is apart of has existed for a while and is still being built upon, through other games, art, and media). Copy Kitty has the exciting gameplay to satisfy my ADHD, and the worldbuilding to satisfy my Autism. There's plenty of other games with both of those things though. Plenty of my other favorites have just as many of those elements present. If you look through my library and my most played titles, you'll see that on display incredibly clearly. This was what had been bugging me for so long. Why did I enjoy Copy Kitty so much more than these other games? From a recent write up of all the game's dialogue for use with lore analysis , it finally clicked. Copy Kitty is one of the few games I've played with a neurodivergent main character. Most of what I've been able to enjoy either has a MC that doesn't speak at all, or one that i can only loosely relate to, if at all. Copy Kitty is the first time I was able to form such a strong connection with the main character in a game I already enjoyed so much. By asking around on the game's discord server and conversing with other fans (and one of the lead devs), I've learned that Boki wasn't written with that idea in mind from the outset, and that things just sort of ended up that way with how they wrote her. Boki doesn't really have any *specific* neurodivergent conditions. However, through my time following Boki's journey, it feels as though we share almost the exact same traits. I see myself in her passion, her determination, her tone, her language, the list goes on. There has not been another protagonist before, nor since, that has been able to match Boki in how strongly I connect with them. This is my favorite game of all time, and I've struggled for a while trying to find out how much of me liking the game is due to its overall quality, and how much of it is due to traits it has that happen to cater to me specifically. It's made recommending it to other people difficult, since I have trouble finding what to say. For those of you reading that haven't given it a shot yet, Copy Kitty is definitely still worth your time. It has an incredible combination of combat, gameplay depth, level design, music, and charm, on top of an expansive world with colorful characters you can really get invested in. If you're lucky, you might even form a connection with these characters deeper than what you would've otherwise thought possible.

It's actually crazy how little this game has been talked about. Every level just keeps giving and giving and giving in this weird hybrid between Megaman and Kirby. Genuinely hope this developer makes it big because this is an underrated gem of a game. It can be tough and over stimulating at times but it's rad!
