I had been bouncing from one cozy game to another feeling burnt out and unsatisfied. This game is such a refreshing palette cleanser from the typical farming/crafting sims. The aesthetic is deliciously delightful! From the vibrant, dynamic environment to the utterly charming stop-motion effect on your character’s movements (Aardman Animations, anyone??), it’s a feast for the eyes! I have a blast just reading all the cute and quirky names of every single NPC. (Apricot needs a raise, btw). The world is alive, bustling with charm. It’s such a joy compared to the often sparse worlds of other cozy games. The dialog and personalities are an absolute treat. And the mini games! They are so unique and adorable. Plus the music is so chill. And let’s be honest, the beat that drops when you start driving your caravan …. It just, HITS in the best way <3 I even love that my poor bee is a bit of a (honey)drunk driver…. by user error, of course. I promise Rigby, I’ll get better! There’s zero pressure, no racing against the clock—just a leisurely pace where you get to chill and enjoy all the wonderful little details. Every corner has something delightful to discover. The character creation has so many adorable options, colors, and outfits it was seriously hard to choose. You’re telling me I can play as an opossum?? YES, PLEASE. A turtle? A gecko?? A deer? The cutest cow you’ve ever seen? Omfg. I could keep going for all of them. The crafting mechanics and animations are so cozy and delightful. I love cooking/sewing by candlelight in my little pajamas. If it’s a multi-step recipe you can pin the recipe and turn your brain off while the game guides you through each step - genius. I love changing my outfit into something “fancy” on market days. I’m also weirdly obsessed with running and jumping through dandelion puffballs & mushrooms! I’m truly amazed at how extensive this game is for the price, especially being in early access. No regrets - Just pure love and excitement for this gem. I could seriously live in this little world, in my cozy caravan, just vibing, exploring new places, and helping critters along the way forever. This game is a love letter to my inner child that I didn’t know I needed. Huge thanks to the devs for putting a sparkle back into my gaming experience! Also, I play on steam deck and runs great.

"Welcome! May your day be filled with good food... and a nap." Cozy Caravan is adorable, wholesome, and feels like sipping marshmallow hot cocoa next to a campfire with your BFF. As a variety gamer who usually prefers complex systems and crunchy management (bonus points if I can make spreadsheets to min/max production/stats), I picked this up solely to reference it in other reviews... and was surprised by how much I enjoy it. While I don't play often, this is my go-to game when I'm sick enough to call off work. Story As Guild Rookies, you and your frog bestie set out on the open road to (a) help adorable critters with everything from harvesting crops to herding giant bees to serving drinks, and (b) sell crafted goods at weekend markets. Every action big and small helps you earn Guild Tokens, which you can exchange for crafting upgrades, new clothes, or limited caravan customization. Gameplay Both the controls and gameplay mechanics are easy to learn and lightweight, and play smoothly whether you're using a controller (recommended) or keyboard/mouse. Basically everything you do is a minigame, but the different games are mostly simple enough for children to figure out and varied enough that you don't feel like you're doing the same task again and again. Cooking is particularly fun, and strikes a nice balance between simulated actions like stirring and (slow) quick-time events. Cozy Caravan stands out from similar titles because it is not a farming game; while you can forage and harvest crops, you don't have your own garden. Decorating and caravan customization are also extremely limited, and not a particular focus of the game. Art + World I adore the art in this game; everything from the 3D character designs to the sets feels cute, thematic, and like it all belongs in the same game. The map is still very incomplete at time of writing but the world feels inhabited, and driving your rickety caravan down dirt roads is an absolute treat. As of Build v0.35, the NPCs all look different but universally act like a quest log; if there's something you should be doing, every single NPC will mention it. While a few NPCs have distinct personalities, this particular mechanic makes everyone blend together and is my biggest complaint about the game. Recommendation I recommend this if you enjoy Animal Crossing: New Horizons or similar games more for the sense of community and living in a world than for decorating or crafting. This is perfect for cozy gamers who want to play at a slow pace without thinking too hard. This is not for you if you're looking for a farming sim, romance or relationship building, or any kind of complexity or depth. I personally enjoy this when I'm not feeling well and don't want to think, but don't really vibe with it in my day-to-day hunt for puzzles and stress simulators. TL;DR:I only reccomend it if you're buying it for children. If you're above 10ys/o then you are NOT the target demographic. Super cute, great music. NPC's, dialogue, quests, and basically everything else is super lackluster but again, childrens game. It's a well-made game, no doubt. But if you're like me and looking for a cute, cozy open world market sim (with other side features like decorating the caravan!!), this is NOT it. You can only hop out of the caravan at certain towns, all the lovely scenery is, well, lovely but you can only watch as you trundle along slowly to the next area or town. The game does a lot of handholding and the quests are (obviously) lackluster, being aimed for under 10's. The biggest giveaway however that I , a fully grown adult, was playing a childrens game was the fact that currency doesn't actually matter. You do earn coins but those aren't an actual resource, just an animation to make you feel like a big smart store manager. The real "currency" are these friendship points that manifest whenever a customer buys something or when you are generally polite, like waving at people. You can't actually BUY anything with this currency, but unlocking more allows you to get upgrades or smth. Though I was really disappointed it wasn't what I thought it was, I can't really bring myself to say it's bad when I'm not the target audience.

wife is addicted to this game. I have caught her trying to take apples and sell them to people on the weekends because of this. I love that the cozy game distracts her from the ever approaching doom of the economy and her existential dread, however, I think she might have a misconception about traveling markets. (consider making permits for each town for more realism).

This game have a lot of potential. The vibe is absolutely cute and chill. As a new player, this some points that I think it can be improve at first sight : - more detailed UI, like current quests, mini map maybe, tokens etc ( because I didn’t these informations ? ) I felt lost in the game and the screen « empty » without it - more effects. The game is absolutely charming, and I would love to see more light, colors and weather effects ( morning ? Afternoon ? Night ? Spring ? Summer ? Fall ? Winter ? ) and tiny details everywhere to make the environnement very lively and less « flat. » Im not far in the game for now, but it’s the first recommandations I can make as a new player for now. I Will update if needed ! But I believe in this game, we are at the beginning of the EA so I can’t wait to what the devs will create/add in their game ♥️
