It's nice. Coming from an modeling software, I'd describe the UI as a bit clunky and unintuitive at first. Eventually, you do learn than the game wants you to do pretty much everything with just the mouse. I'm having fun with the game so far. I think it's a well made and cohesive game, but there are some pain points that I'd like to see worked on. The game uses Lumen global illumination to help additionally light up the scene if you so choose, and if your game defaults to the 'high' graphical preset, it will be turned on by default. Personally, I don't like Lumen outside of very specific circumstances because I think it looks ugly. I don't like how it makes the scene look like it's bubbling. It's a tool that helps with indirect lighting that achieves the same thing that precalculation can do or that rastering can approximate, only it performs significantly worse *and* it looks bad. I'm not going to hold it against the game though; it uses Unreal 5, so it might as well take advantage of the tools that are there. Changing colors and materials of walls and props is a tedious and grating experience, because for each thing that I want to change requires me to click through multiple sub-menus for every single object. Repainting and changing the material of a wall requires more than ten clicks per wall. It feels like a UX nightmare, there are too many menus within menus, and I feel like most of what's here can be reduced into a single panel. Can we at least get an "Apply to all" option? I'd really like to see expanded keybinding support. Fumbling through menus with just a mouse gets annoying pretty quickly, so it'd be nice to be able to slam out every action I need with a handful of keypresses. Once I get around these problems, the game is almost perfect. It's like decorating in Blender, but I don't have to make all the models myself!

I really, really, really hated the camera controls. I found them difficult and unintuitive, but that's a personal gripe more than a criticism. The game is a lot of fun; there are a lot of options for customization which I love, a lot of the items are cute, and while you can't alter the layouts I did find them to be reasonable. I'm excited to see what new items, textures, and images they add as the game grows. As someone who almost exclusively plays the Sims and Animal Crossing I found the freedom in item placement delightful. Some of the puzzles could use clearer instructions (or maybe I need to get cleverer) as I'm still not sure if the pipes are all supposed to intersect or if they have to meet at the seams since neither option worked for me. I imagine I'll play this pretty often, and I'm excited to play it when it's further along in development and I can save my story progress. I would say that if you're interested in this game at all you'll probably enjoy playing it.

it would be nice to enter values in a text box instead of dragging until you get the right measurements

Hey! this game has a lot of potential, can you add a 2D room size editor in sandbox mode? i find trying to get precise measurements impossible in the current way it is handled. Also would it be possible to add way to make walls at precise angle? or somehow lock angle you connect walls at. Keep it up!

This game is amazing! It’s my second day playing it, but I can tell it’s a real cozy game. You can just sit there and decorate rooms as you wish, there are plenty of puzzle minigames and the songs are super relaxing. Of course there are some bugs, but I’m loving it until now.
