I don't even know who I am anymore. I sat down expecting a casual and maybe even ironic disney game experience, something silly and nostalgic. What I got was a spiritual awakening and possibly the best therapy session I've ever had disguised as a children's game from 2007. Fifteen hours. I have given fifteen hours of my life to this game. And you know what? I'd give fifteen more. I used to owe this game when I was a kid. Played it. Loved it. Forgot about it. Until a few days ago. Like a beacon of hope. On steam... for $5 on sale. My brain went "lol remember that?" and my heart went "do it." So I did. I downloaded it as a joke. I thought maybe I'd click around. I thought maybe I'd hear the menu music again and go "aww." I told myself this would be like an hour of nostalgia and then I would move on with my life. This was not a casual replay. THIS WAS A FULL BLOWN SIDE QUEST. Anyway. Game review. Spoiler: It holds up and I'm obsessed. Plot: You play as a little girl with zero backstory who goes into a falling apart magic castle. This fairy shows up like: Congrats, you're the chosen one. Go fix everything," And you're just like, "Okay." No questions From there you have a choice between which princess worlds to save, Cinderella Ariel, Jasmine, Snow white, and Belle. All of them are being terrorized by the Bogs. What are Bogs? These ugly little green creatures who cause general inconvenience. You wave your wand at them, do quests, and the princesses are like "You're amazing" and the sky literally glows. That's whole thing. And yet? I loved every second of it. Gameplay: The game has like 2 buttons. 3, if you count the one that lets you jump two inches in the air for no reason. It's dumb. It's simple. It's addictive. Every time I fixed a princesses world I felt like I was rebuilding society. Also, you can change your outfit and wand at any time in the mirror, and that feature alone gave me more serotonin than any game ever has. Emotional damage: The face that this game is for kids is kind of misleading. Every princess literally has her own existential crisis going on. Cinderella is stressed. Belle's castle is infested with Bogs. Snow White's dwarves are being werid. Jasmine is lowkey spiraling. Ariel's kingdom is one bad day from collapse. And me? I'm just a girl with a wand and way too much responsibility. And they all tell you nice things like "You're so brave" and "I knew i could count on you," and I'm sitting there like, why is this hitting harder than actual people in my life??? The character animation is kind of weird. Everyone moves like they were animated in Microsoft PowerPoint. It kind of cursed. But it adds flavor. Final thoughts: I came for nostalgia. I left with a new personality trait. If you ever played this game as a kid: PLAY IT AGAIN. If you've never play it: ALSO PLAY IT. This game is the light in the darkness. I am the reason Cinderella sleeps peacefully. I AM THE PRINCESS NOW. 10/10. Would zap the Bogs again.

I used to play this game a lot when I was a kid and was really happy when I found it on Steam. Although there were a few errors here and there, it was overall really fun and nostalgic.

I loved this game when I was 7 and played it at my grandmother's house, and I love it now that I'm 18 and playing on my laptop at college. It's a perfect nostalgic hit.
