I'll be honest, I was nostalgia-baited into buying this game. I'm an adult now, but I played this game when I was a child. And back in the day, I LOVED playing this. Today, replaying this game is just like I'm young again, like the world is simple, like Disney isn't an evil cash-grabbing mega corperation. I will never ever buy any of the new games Disney churns out because they're soulless, unimaginative, expensive and riddled with micro-transactions. But the old ones, especially this? I will never forget what it was like being a child and never getting past the Bossfight right before Tiana, what it was like to replay the gae countless times because of that, what it was like exploiting the hell out of the "Return to Portal Room" function to get as many gems as possible. So, thank you, Disney. For bringing out a masterpiece that made little me rage quit and adult me ugly cry because of nostalgia
This is the perfect game for kids and those who want to play something with zero consequences. Any failure or miss will not end your game but simply restart you to the beginning of that task or not affect you at all. I do think this game was a blast and I love feeling like a magical princess (or I suppose in this case a magical apprentice) but this game is really just trying to be Disney Princess Enchanted Journey, and let me tell you it could never top that. If you can only get one I'd 1000% say get Enchanted Journey, it has better graphics, better mechanics, more playtime, and a better storyline. But if this goes on sale I can't give a reason not to get it! Just know before you get into it that it is very much a ported wii game, with super easy and repetitive mini games and the one absolute negative I'll list is that it constantly tells you what to do even if you're currently doing it, I know it's for kids but I don't think even kids need this much guidance, sometimes I had to mute the game just so I didn't lose my mind with "do this, do it again, do it again". But overall I enjoyed my time with it and I liked the twirl parkour and the ability to customize your room/tend to a garden, even if your character is the reason that the everything is going wrong in all these kingdoms lol.
