This is a short but atmospheric puzzle-exploration game that gently dips players into liminal, dreamlike environments. The level design shows real creativity, often evoking a strong sense of nostalgia and that special "backrooms" eeriness, which fans of surreal spaces will likely appreciate. Music and visuals combine to create an immersive vibe that hits the mark more often than not. The main criticism revolves around the game's length. Most players will finish in well under an hour, even on a first playthrough—and repeat runs can be even quicker. While there’s some incentive for a second go thanks to alternative modes like custom entity settings in the backrooms, the replay value is still limited. The price-to-content ratio feels steep in some regions, so if you're concerned about value for money, it might be worth waiting for a sale. Despite some inconsistencies in the thematic cohesion of its levels, and a few segments that feel more experimental than polished, the game's charm and ambiance generally carry it through. If you're a fan of exploration games with unique moods, this is a pleasant, if brief, journey. Very wonderful game! I really hope there is a longer version released at some point. Enjoyed the puzzles and exploration. Love the custom entity mode for the backrooms. Quick game (about 30 minutes), so I would appreciate another release in the future.

good backrooms game, focuses more on the overall liminal vibe rather than story (the game still has decent lore) which can be good/bad depending on what you like. my current top 5 list of the best backrooms games on steam: HM: Backrooms Rec. 1.) IMO this is a perfect backrooms game. It's not overly tedious and frustrating. Puzzles are fun and simple. Achievements are actually obtainable. Sprint isn't limited. Only one level has a monster and it's not too hard to deal with. It's not a super long game or really epic but fun and I loved it.

The game is absolutely beautiful, the story is minor, but the scenery is stunning. The audio for the game and music that plays is beautiful. I adore this game and have completed it a few times now because I can't get enough of how beautiful it is. In my opinion it's a true Liminal Space game, there's no screaming monsters until the very end, and even then its done very well, there's no extreme jumpscares, no entities following you through every single level, but still leaves you feeling breathless and like something is Wrong while being genuinely beautiful. I adore this game, its my favourite Liminal Space / Backrooms-esque game
