Elemental Girls, developed by Zloy Krot Studio and published by IR Studio, is a casual puzzle game that combines simple gameplay mechanics with anime-inspired visual aesthetics and a touch of mature content. It doesn’t aim to be complex or narratively rich but instead offers a compact experience that focuses on visual appeal, light engagement, and fanservice elements. Released in 2019, it has found a niche among players who appreciate relaxing games with a soft blend of puzzles and character art, without the need for deep gameplay systems or sprawling narratives. The gameplay is built around a series of puzzle stages, each tied to an “elemental girl,” representing classic motifs like fire, water, earth, air, and lightning. There are ten stages in total, and each one offers three levels of difficulty, providing some degree of challenge escalation. However, the puzzles themselves are relatively straightforward, often relying on familiar mechanics such as tile-matching or sequence alignment. It’s the kind of game that’s easy to pick up and finish in short bursts, offering enough variety to remain interesting for its brief duration without overwhelming the player. What sets Elemental Girls apart isn’t its mechanics but its presentation. The character art is clearly the central focus of the game. Each elemental girl is depicted with distinct personality traits and designs that match her associated power, rendered in a clean, anime-style aesthetic. The artwork is vibrant, colorful, and designed to appeal to fans of Japanese pop culture and stylized character art. While the base game keeps things suggestive rather than explicit, there are optional DLCs—most notably the 18+ Artbook—which expand the mature content for those who are interested. These additions offer wallpapers and uncensored illustrations, further reinforcing the game’s positioning within the adult anime game niche. In terms of technical execution, Elemental Girls is a lightweight game that runs smoothly on virtually any modern PC. It has low system requirements, making it accessible even for players with older or lower-end hardware. The game includes full Steam integration, with achievements and trading cards that add a layer of progression and collectability. While not essential to the gameplay experience, these features contribute to the overall sense of polish and completion. The user interface is simple and intuitive, ensuring that the game remains focused on the puzzles and visuals without unnecessary distractions. Audio design in Elemental Girls is serviceable, featuring a mellow, looping soundtrack that maintains a relaxed tone throughout the experience. The music doesn’t stand out, but it doesn’t need to—it serves as a soft backdrop to the visuals and gameplay. Sound effects are minimal and functional, used primarily for feedback during puzzle interaction. This keeps the experience smooth and uncluttered, aligning with the game’s overall minimalist approach. However, the game’s simplicity is also its greatest limitation. With only ten stages and a relatively small range of puzzle mechanics, it’s easy to complete the main content in a short time. While the three difficulty levels do offer some replay value, players looking for a more complex or mentally demanding puzzle experience may find the game lacking in depth. Additionally, the game is very much tailored to a specific audience—those who enjoy anime-style fanservice. Players outside of that demographic may find little of interest here, as the visual content heavily influences the appeal. Elemental Girls is not trying to be something it’s not. It’s a budget-friendly title meant for a relaxed and visually pleasant experience, combining casual puzzle solving with collectible art. The overall package is modest but competent, offering a few hours of light entertainment, especially appealing to those who enjoy anime aesthetics and don’t mind some mild adult themes. It succeeds in delivering exactly what it promises—nothing more, but also nothing less. For the right audience, it’s an enjoyable, low-stress addition to a Steam library. Rating: 8/10

Elemental Girls is a fun and colorful bullet-hell shooter that mixes fast-paced action with cute anime-style characters. The gameplay is challenging but rewarding, with lots of different patterns to learn and dodge. Each “girl” has unique elemental powers, which adds variety to how you approach each level. The visuals are vibrant and the soundtrack fits the energetic pace of the game perfectly. It’s not the deepest shooter out there, but if you like a good challenge with charming characters and flashy effects, it’s worth checking out.
