Not perfect, its aight. Its like if you mixed Huniepop with Sayori's Artwork, and thats about it, The only flaw I see is that there are no save button and that the history of some girls are just re-used with differents personalities, maybe if the game were longer it could have been better, but I can't complain bc the artwork is still peak and I bought it like for 2 dollars so...

Developed by Tentacle Games and published by Sekai Project, Tropical Liquor combines a romantic visual novel with casual puzzle gameplay to deliver a lighthearted adventure set on a beautiful tropical island. The story follows a young man who unexpectedly wins a vacation to an exotic resort, hoping the trip will offer more than just a temporary escape from his routine. What begins as a relaxing holiday quickly turns into an opportunity to meet several charming women, each with unique personalities, aspirations, and emotional baggage. The narrative embraces a cheerful, slice-of-life atmosphere while gradually exploring the relationships that develop between the protagonist and the island's residents, making the experience feel more personal than its simple premise initially suggests. The storytelling focuses heavily on character interaction, allowing players to spend time learning about each heroine through conversations, special events, and romantic encounters. Rather than relying on dramatic twists, the game succeeds by presenting an easygoing pace that emphasizes companionship and emotional connection. Every character receives enough attention to establish an individual identity, and while many of the story beats follow familiar visual novel conventions, the chemistry between the cast remains engaging. The writing balances humor, romance, and occasional heartfelt moments, creating a narrative that encourages players to continue uncovering each route to see how every relationship develops. Gameplay revolves around accessible match-style puzzles that serve as the gateway to new story content. Completing stages unlocks additional dialogue, romantic scenes, and character progression, giving players a reason to keep solving puzzles beyond simply earning high scores. The mechanics are intentionally straightforward, making the game welcoming for newcomers and those looking for a relaxing experience. Although the puzzle system lacks significant evolution throughout the campaign and may eventually become repetitive for experienced players, it complements the visual novel structure without becoming frustrating or overly demanding. The game's presentation is one of its strongest qualities. Bright tropical environments, colorful backgrounds, and expressive anime-inspired character artwork create a warm and inviting setting that perfectly suits the island theme. Character designs are distinctive and memorable, while the interface remains clean and intuitive, allowing players to transition smoothly between puzzle stages and story sequences. The soundtrack reinforces the vacation atmosphere with cheerful and soothing melodies that fit both the romantic and comedic moments. Voice performances further enhance the personalities of the heroines, making conversations feel more lively and emotionally engaging. As clearly intended for an adult audience, Tropical Liquor includes mature themes, romantic intimacy, suggestive dialogue, alcohol-related references, and explicit scenes. These elements are integrated into the relationship-focused narrative rather than appearing as isolated content, making them feel like part of the game's intended progression. Players interested in romance-driven visual novels with adult content will likely appreciate how these scenes complement the developing relationships, while those seeking a purely story-focused experience should be aware that mature material remains a central component of the game. Despite its appealing atmosphere, Tropical Liquor is not without shortcomings. The puzzle gameplay offers limited variety, and the overall storyline rarely strays far from established romance visual novel formulas. Some players may also wish for deeper gameplay systems or more meaningful choices that significantly alter the narrative. However, these issues are softened by the game's charming cast, attractive presentation, and consistently relaxing tone, all of which help maintain its appeal throughout the adventure. Overall, Tropical Liquor succeeds as an enjoyable blend of casual puzzle mechanics and romantic visual novel storytelling. Its colorful setting, lovable characters, polished artwork, and comfortable pacing create an experience that is easy to pick up and unwind with. While it may not reinvent either genre, it delivers exactly what it promises: a cheerful island romance supported by simple yet satisfying gameplay and memorable character interactions. Fans of anime-inspired romance games and casual puzzle experiences will find plenty to enjoy during their stay on this tropical getaway. Rating: 7/10
