Really nice game. The puzzles aren't repetitive and just tricky enough. The co-operative play with split screen is a lot of fun. The story and characters are a nice touch. Can recommend.

This game is absolutely amazing! The puzzles are fun and actually intuitive, not just random and obscure. Even though some of the difficulty level starts off easy, the puzzle get progressively more challenging, but never impossible. But even if players find them relatively on the easier side, there are tons of them so you more than get your money's worth. Plus there are many interesting locations and a story with characters which connect to the greater whole. It's amusing too and the variety of the puzzles is very creative and fun!

Escape Academy is a fun co-op puzzle game that’s great to play with a friend. Some of the puzzles are genuinely challenging, and the 1v1 mode is a nice addition for some friendly competition. However, the game lacks modding support, which limits replayability. The graphics are pretty average, and if you’re looking for a more robust experience, Escape Simulator is definitely the better choice. 7/10.

Excellent Escape Room game overall! The puzzles flow really well. Some are a bit obvious, but most of them do get the noggin going, while not being overly complicated. Obviously a lot more fun if you can play it with a friend. Remote play together is possible, which is a nice option to save some money, but one of the aspect where the game shines is the ability to switch between split screen and full screen if your friend has his own copy of the game. Alternating between exploring in full screen and then sharing information in split screen to open locks etc. was such a refreshing and pleasant dynamic for an Escape Room game, I wish the other games in this genre would adopt this mechanic. The PvP is interesting, but the puzzles are recycled in the different game modes of a specific map, so the novelty quickly wears off. Still, it was a free update so this is a nice addition to the game. A few words on the weak points of the game : [*]Animations and graphics are lazy (but this is forgivable given the genre). [*]Controls are a bit wonky sometimes (the way you need to interact to resolve a few puzzles were poorly thought out). [*]The overarching plot and dialogues are as corny as you can get. It basically reads like a 6th grade homework. It's not a big deal since the main focus is solving puzzles, but still, it looks like an effort was made here, which probably should have been dedicated to making more puzzles or refining them more. Despite these points, the game is very enjoyable, and I would recommend it to every Escapist Enthusiast. It falls on the short side though (5 hours on average to complete the base game), so do get it on sale.

This game is such a blast, especially with a friend. The puzzles are just the right level of difficult, with some being easier than others. It definitely felt like a good challenge and I loved the twist on the escape room genre. The puzzle designs are gorgeous and really creative too. I especially love the stained glass window badges you collect and the fact that items from each escape classroom appear in your room as you complete each one. Only criticism is the game is definitely a little short and probably not super replayable but the tournament of puzzles is a good add on, I preferred to play with a friend rather than against them though.
