Graphics: 10/10 Gameplay: 10/10 Chances of playing with her: 0/10 Make sure you actually have a Player 2 before buying the game for a co-op run. Things didn't work out with her, but at least the game didn't disappoint. Worth every penny.

Yes. I recommend it. Was it fun? Yes. That said, the final puzzle in the game very nearly has me saying no on this review. It's not a difficult puzzle. It's not an impossible puzzle either. What it is, is a puzzle created for what I reckon only 10 people in the natural world could ever solve. Not because of smarts, intellect, or effort. Not because they found a clue and used deductive reasoning to figure it out. But because they are a subject expect matter on one very, very specific thing. One thing so obscure and irrelevant to the game, that whoever else plays this, is going to feel the same level of disappointment that I feel. I picked up this game to solve puzzles and have a great time with friends while I do it. Building up to this big conlusion, the excitement of waiting for the next patch for it to be released, and finally getting there to... do nothing. Google, I guess. Just, Google. Google what, exactly? Well, not the clue in the puzzle itself. No, just the answer. Good luck. Have fun. Yes for the levels leading up to the conclusion. No for the conclusion. I feel so disappointed.

Why are people using the review system to report bugs and leaving thumbs down for that? Anyway. After years of playing Escape Simulator 1, my jaw literally dropped when I launched ES2. It's absolutely incredible and unlike anything else I played. The graphics are stunning, the new lobby system is a blast, and I love that collecting tokens now has real incentives - it keeps you motivated to find every single one. I highly, highly recommend this game and can't wait for more rooms and updates!

ES1 always felt to me like seeing the world through the eyes of a child. Everything is colorful and creative. Levels are shorter but they're still really fun. Puzzles are a bit on easier side, but still satisfying to complete. Now ES2 is here and it feels like seeing through the eyes of a grown-up. Things look more real, serious, and detailed. Levels are longer, and puzzles are harder. Even the secret tokens are way harder to find. We now get a more mature flavor of the same great room escape recipe. Well deserved 10/10.

This is how the sequels should be done! - Priced reasonably - Bigger Maps (you don't feel claustrophobic anymore) - Slightly more difficult (because of a few extra things added in, and bigger maps) - Realistic art style (lighting looks absolutely incredible) - Some much needed QoL changes - Great performance (running it on my Intel Arc iGPU) - Robust editor (lacks props at the moment, but it is a step up in all the other ways) Can't wait for the community to step in, and make some good levels.
