It´s like playing League of Legends jungle but without your toxic team mates xD

It's a Warcraft 3 custom game, and that's a compliment. This is basically the closest thing we're ever getting to X Hero Defense, and that's fine. Is it underbaked? Yes. Could there be more wargears to choose from? Absolutely. Does the co-op suck and makes 0 sense? YOU BETCHA. But it's exactly what people who grew up on Enfos have wanted for years and I'm willing to give the team some time to iron out the wrinkles.

Eversiege is a PvE pseudo-MOBA game for people who burnt out on DotA and League, or people who were too intimidated to ever jump into those games in the first place. If you have queue anxiety, and you prefer to play bots or custom games nowadays, then this might be the game for you. If you have fond memories of playing Warcraft 3 custom maps back in the day, this might be the game for you. If you just want a hack and slash game with good movement and interesting build options, this might be the game for you. If you're looking for a hardcore competitive MOBA experience with all the depth of DotA or League, then this probably isn't the game for you. This is a more casual take on the idea of a lane pushing hero brawler, with all the toxicity of an online competitive game removed and the bar to entry lowered. The core gameplay is great. You farm during the day, push out your lane, farm the jungle, gear up to take out the enemy "tower" (it's a mid-boss in this game), farm some more, and then make a final push for the throne. All the heroes control very well, with interesting gimmicks and multiple viable builds. The hero designs aren't as wild as some you can find in a real MOBA, and there are only six heroes in the game so far, but they form a solid core that fulfill different class fantasies. My favorite is the hero who can place a Phase Javelin and teleport to it at any time, even across the map. You can mix and match heroes with different loadouts to customize your spells and passive bonuses, so there is a great deal of replayability in trying out new builds. I really like how the randomized enemies are displayed before the game begins, with their elemental strengths and weaknesses listed. When you see that the boss is weak to Frost damage, that might be the push you needed to try out a new build instead of playing the old reliable one. Overall, the gameplay is well designed and satisfying, but I would love to see more heroes added in the future. There are a lot of people struggling with performance issues, and I can see why. At the time of review, the game defaults to high settings and an uncapped framerate. This will make your GPU run hot, and it might even lead to crashes. I turned the settings to medium/low and capped the framerate at 60 FPS, and I have not had problems since. My computer is a few years old, with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600x processor and an RX 6600 GPU, so you don't need a monster computer to run this game, but it probably won't run well if you're using an old card like a 1060 6GB or an RX 580. I have not tried the co-op gameplay, but many people have complaints about the meta progression currency only being awarded to the host. You can manually copy that progress to the other players' computers, but it is a bit of a hacky work-around. This is surely on the list of issues to be fixed, but if you're buying the game in launch week then it might still be a problem when you play. There are also some other miscellaneous bugs. These are the things you would expect to happen in a game like this, like players getting stuck in walls or UI elements glitching out. I've won 11 runs so far, and I've seen at least three obvious bugs, but none of them prevented me from finishing the game. One run was quite difficult because the final boss decided to camp in a corner after his pathfinding bugged out, but I still beat him. Another time I had to use my town portal to leave a dungeon because I was stuck in a wall. Your mileage may vary. I like the game a lot, and I hope they fix the bugs and sand down the rough edges. It's a great idea for a game, the progression systems are very satisfying, and the moment to moment gameplay is buttery smooth. If it looks interesting to you, I would recommend it even with the launch week bumps and wrinkles, and I expect that it will be a much better experience if you're reading this review in six months.

As a solo player, I’m having a lot of fun with the game. It really brings me back to those Warcraft 3 custom maps. There’s a meaningful progression system and a lot of things to unlock. If you ever played WC3 against bots and enjoyed playing custom maps, just buy it. As for multiplayer, I cannot speak to that but the other reviews seem to cover it.

I was really surprised by the negative reviews. It runs fine on my PC and it is by no means top notch. I don't play multiplayer so maybe that's it. But as a single player MOBA, I've been looking forward to this for months and I am in no way disappointed.
