Great game based off the classic StarFox gameplay. My only complaint would be that the levels are non-stop action and I find it impossible to read the character conversations during gameplay. Either they should've had voiceovers for this, or put slower parts in the level where the player has time to read the text and doesn't have as many baddies on the screen to take out.

There are no surprises in this game, what you see is exactly what you get. And what you get is the best execution of this formula out there. There's basically nothing to criticise, all the game is lacking is more content.

This game is excellent. It clearly takes inspiration from Star Fox and manages to create a very fun experience. It's impossible to like Star Fox and not enjoy this. The soundtrack is fantastic, and the retro graphics have their own charm. I really enjoyed the level design, always bringing variety and unique challenges. The difficulty is a bit high, but it doesn’t punish you too harshly since there are checkpoints, etc. The downside is the lack of voice acting, as reading subtitles during intense action scenes doesn’t work very well. Another issue is the "button-mashing" for shooting lasers. It would be better to have a fixed firing cadence so I don’t have to keep pressing repeatedly to maintain a good firing rate. It wore my hand out. Switching to the triggers might help, but ideally, they would adjust the firing cadence. But overall, it's excellent! Looking forward to the next levels!

cool game but good luck reading the dialogue lol. obviously needs voice-over. it's actually a bit overly derivative, to be honest. gameplay is fun and a mix of OG starfox and 64, and includes sick-ass space harrier bonus levels, which is a huge plus. it's kinda disappointing to not have multiple paths, considering it's a defining aspect of the series. the game is still in early access, so every review is either from yesterday or possibly an earlier build of the game, so keep that in mind. at its core this game is for a very specific audience, which i'm definitely a part of. you're either that person or some kid who has no idea what the hell this game is. if you're the latter, probably wait until it actually releases. otherwise, you know you want it.

Ex-Zodiac is an on-rails space shooter where you play as Not Starfox and the game runs at a good framerate. In this game you move on rails and shoot enemies, Talk with your doctor to see if Ex-Zodiac is right for you. Side effects may include but are not limited to: nostalgia trips, sweaty hands, and having a good time. Ex-Zodiac is not responsible for any fun had by the player.
