I'm really torn on Yes or No for recommending this game because it's fun, but there's some seriously frustrating functions within the game that make it more likely to be dropped from play long term. Pros: - The animals look great and there's a lot to choose from. - The shelves, accessories, habitats, etc., also look good. - Love having the ability to set a spot as a designated product spot or leave it open for whatever. - It's great being able to hire people right away to help with the large amount of things to do. - Decorative options are awesome, and look good. Cons: I know this list is large, but most items are small things that would improve quality of game life. Some of them, however, are pretty obnoxious and would lead to not enjoying playing eventually. QOL: - I hate the fact my cashiers have to go run to get EVERYTHING a customer orders instead of only having to go get the pet they want. It's a waste of time and in every pet store I've ever been in, the customer picks up the items they can grab and then asks for help getting the pet or the larger items. - In a perfect world, we'd have an option to have an employee (like the stocker/warehouse person) who gets the pet and brings it to the cashier. - There is a lot of mouse clicking or extra steps to grab something, or add to a cart, etc., in this game which is problematic for people with accessibility needs. - In order to grab something from a shelf you hit E to grab, but then it makes you click a button to actually grab the item. Conversely, if you pick up something from the floor, it takes one click. - If ordering from the tablet / scanner option you can Shift click to add 5 things at a time. On the computer it requires more clicks if you don't want to add 10+ items at once. - I can't move doors and windows after adding them and refunding takes away a large chunk of the money spent. This is especially problematic when starting and not having a good spatial awareness of where things should go at first. - Employees stand in front of tanks or cages when doing nothing. - Can we get more than two white people who are wearing different hair and outfits please? Annoying: - When attempting to pick up something from a shelf, we have to have a box or remove every single item one by one which is especially tedious when it takes 2-3 steps to remove one item. And good grief if there's a warehouse person active, you will never achieve this goal if you actually have full boxes of stock in the warehouse. - It costs a lot to build. Building a decent (maybe 1/3 of the lot) sized shop to start with ends up being 2/3 of the money, and that's prior to even adding a roof, or decorating / painting walls and floors. - We can't get a loan unless we have twice as much money as we're asking for. Strictly speaking, I wouldn't NEED a loan if I had twice the money I was asking for so that one is really irritating. - We can't add pet boxes to warehouse shelves, or add the animal bags, yet you can keep the boxes on the floor and animals in a bag seemingly indefinitely. Please add an option to organize these things better. Conceivably, we put them in a habitat in the storage area (especially fish) but when starting out that's less of an option because of money/space. - Errors pop up with vague messages about a problem but don't state What item is causing the issue. - Sometimes there's no error but you just can't do something. - Can't train employees and we have to spend money every day to speed them up. I got the "Master Employees" and their stats are not masterful. I would expect a master employee to be at more than 80% feeding capability, etc.. I have to go behind employees regularly to clean habitats regularly for instance. - Employees don't stock animals and largely ignore the animal boxes except on rare occasions when they throw one away. All in all I think this game is fun and has a lot of potential but please consider the QOL and other issues since they do interrupt gameplay and will eventually lead to not wanting to play it.

I would recommend this game if you love managing and having pets. This met all my expectations, when I brought it didn't think it was going to be a game I was going to get into but its been an amazing experience. This game is one of the best stimulation games I have played. Exoctica pet simulator game has got me hooked to say the least. Only a few hours into the game and so far got fish, otters, Hamsters, love birds, budgerigar and both large birds so far yet so many more animals to unlock and get. I am enjoying the aspect of breeding the fish and birds can't do the otters yet or cats and dogs but am hoping that will come in a later update. Honestly so far I can not fault the game I have had so much fun with buying new animals and selling them and breeding the animals you can breed making it easier so you don't have to keep buying that same animal. I cant say a bad word about this game because I am very much enjoying all aspects of this game! I even enjoy the fact that you can have your own animals in the shop that you can take far of yourself if you just place them on the floor. Be a nice update to be able to name your own animals and have a little space that you can keep them as like adopted little friends.

It's alright, it keeps you busy and there is a lot of animals but it takes forever to unlock them because it takes forever to level up. Some levels you get 40 stars some you get 20, like level 11 I got 20 but level 8 I got 40 it should be opposite the higher level you get should get more stars. I don't like how the cashier has to go get everything for the customer I understand getting the animal but every little accessory the customer could get themselves it takes awhile to do one transaction. There is a couple bugs some animals don't pop up on the hand held scanner right but I like that tool it's a lot easier than going to the computer trying to remember what all you need. Another thing that drives me crazy is the prices I didn't have a roof on my building for 5 levels because it was so expensive. I like having my own pets walking and flying around. I like the age mechanic though it takes forever. I like the building mechanic and how you can build walls and doors inside so It's not so open though it will start out open because you won't have near enough money to do that. There is one thing that drives me crazy though and that is no one closes doors, you're worker doesn't close doors or gates to the dog pens I have outside so they just roam the whole fence when I want them in a certain area. The workers actually do their job though I haven't had to feed or clean since I got 2 workers to do just that. I haven't unlocked the storage shelves yet so I don't know how well they stock shelves. Overall it's a fun grind just wish I could get more animals quicker. Edit: Got the stocking employees and they are slow and put stuff in random spots but they work. If you're all about organization don't get them.

I LOVE animals and i love simulator games, so i'm so far really enjoying playing this! the only downside i've found is the animals enclosures not being accurate, its not a major issue that will stop me from playing as it is just a game BUT being able to buy multiple breeds of fish with one tiny fish bowl isn't correct and the rats being housed in an open glass square, i just wish it was more educational on the correct way to look after these animals and their correct housing! i was expecting more realistic housing like they have on house flipper pets DLC Also i wish it would show me how many items i have in stock and what's empty on the computer so i know what i need to order, i imagine with a bigger store and more animals this will get confusing to keep up with I haven't noticed any bugs so far and i've played for 4 hours. I still have so much more to unlock and progress in my store so its not a quick completion game which i like as it feels i'm actually working towards something! there is so many animal breeds to unlock and you always have to make sure they are fed and habitats clean as well as cleaning the store and restocking shelves, Edit bugs i've found: Cleaning employees randomly stand around when there's things to clean, i had to assign them to another task and back again for them to work

Super fun grinding game, Devs are on top of the bugs and fixing all kinds of things multiple times per day. Looking forward to this game consistently developing and becoming more fun and entertaining!!!! Not like other sim games where devs release and completely neglect suggestions/fixes for months at a time.
