Exploding Kittens 2 (PC Steam) Review Rating: 8.5/10 I think Exploding Kittens 2 is a really fun game if you like the original card game. It keeps the same idea but adds cool animations, character customization, and online multiplayer. The game is easy to learn, so you can start playing almost straight away. The best part is playing with friends because every game is different and there are lots of funny moments. The graphics look nice and the cards have cool animations that make the game feel more exciting. There are also AI bots if you want to play by yourself. One thing I don't like is that the game can feel a bit expensive if you want all the extra DLC. Also, there aren't always lots of people online, so finding random matches can sometimes take longer. Overall, I would recommend Exploding Kittens 2 if you already like the card game or want a fun game to play with friends. It's funny, easy to play, and doesn't take too long to finish a match.
Great adaptation of a really fun card game. I don't have any other friends who own this game, but that hasn't made me not like it. There are actually still heaps of people on the online servers and it is not hard to find a lobby, and even if you are struggling the bots are still really fun to play against. However I am sure playing with friends would by far be the best experience so do that if you can. I see a lot of people complaining about the price, especially of the DLCs, but it goes on sale regularly and if you look at what you're actually getting and compare the price of that to the physical editions, it's actually pretty cheap. If you are going to buy this game, buy the DLC for the expansions, but pass on the cosmetics unless you really want something specific because there are a few skins in the game you don't need to pay for. The game is basically the exact same as the card game, so that could be a positive or negative depending on how you look at it. For me personally I'm glad it's exactly the same because I got it so I could play Exploding Kittens and not some version of it twisted to become a more traditionnal video game, so I got what I wanted, but if you already have the physical game and people to play with when you want, don't get this game. For people who have never played Exploding Kittens before, it is a fun, addicting card game that is very easy to pick up and learn. In the game there are very specifc yet clear descriptions of what every card does you can access at any time during a game just in case you get stuck. I highly recommend picking this up or even to get a physical copy of the game to play with friends.
