Indie game where you control an obese prisoner participating in a soccer match ✅Funny idea with prisoners playing soccer, and fat ones at that ✅You can kick your teammates and opponents ✅Simple graphics ✅Cheap gameplay ❌No multiplayer mode, which could have made it even more fun ❌I noticed a funny bug: instead of getting up, the guy lies down and slides across the floor ✅✅ Verdict: Very Bad , Bad , Average , Decent , Good , Very Good (Rating scale for tested games) If you have any questions about my reviews, feel free to ask. I'm happy to answer them. All reviews are my own!! Best regards, King Viking Bezimienny, Polish Game Reviewer

Fat Prisoner Simulator is a curious and absurd little indie experiment that thrives on its strangeness and self-awareness. Developed and published by Kiddy, it doesn’t try to hide behind pretense or lofty ambition—it proudly embraces its own ridiculous premise. The player takes control of an overweight inmate whose love for food has made him so large that he can barely fit through doors. As punishment—or perhaps a form of rehabilitation—the prison authorities decide to organize a soccer match between these oversized prisoners to help them shed some pounds. It’s an utterly bizarre concept, but one that instantly stands out among the sea of indie titles on Steam, drawing attention through humor and sheer novelty rather than mechanical depth or visual spectacle. Visually, the game is basic and functional, clearly built with limited resources and using simple Unity assets. The environments are confined and blocky, representing the prison courtyard or soccer field without much embellishment. The models of the prisoners are exaggerated caricatures, emphasizing the humor in their massive size and clumsy animations. Despite its rough edges, there’s a certain comedic charm in the awkward physics as these giant figures waddle, stumble, and occasionally collide in chaotic fashion while trying to chase a ball. The lack of polish, far from being a dealbreaker, adds to the overall farcical mood. The audio follows suit, featuring lighthearted effects and minimal background music, which keeps the focus on the chaotic match itself. Everything about the presentation feels intentionally crude, as if the developer knew the absurdity of the concept was the real draw. Gameplay-wise, Fat Prisoner Simulator keeps things extremely simple. There are no deep systems, no skill trees, and no elaborate objectives—just straightforward soccer matches played under the strangest circumstances imaginable. The player’s challenge is to maneuver a slow, unwieldy character across the field, trying to score goals while wrestling against their own momentum and body weight. The controls are intentionally cumbersome, contributing to the slapstick humor as players constantly lose control or topple over during play. Matches devolve into hilarious chaos as prisoners bounce off one another, the ball takes wild trajectories, and victory often feels accidental rather than earned. It’s more of a physics playground than a competitive sports simulation, designed to provoke laughter rather than mastery. The humor is the heart of the experience. Watching overweight inmates struggle to run, bump into each other, and fumble with the ball feels like a cartoon come to life. The game seems fully aware of its absurdity, and it leans into it with unashamed glee. This tongue-in-cheek tone is what makes it entertaining, at least for short bursts. Fat Prisoner Simulator never aspires to be taken seriously, and that self-awareness makes it oddly endearing. However, this comedic core also exposes the game’s main limitation—there isn’t much else beneath the surface. Once the novelty of the premise wears off, there’s little incentive to keep playing. The matches begin to feel repetitive, the environments lack variety, and there are few rewards or progression systems to sustain engagement over time. What begins as amusing can quickly turn monotonous after a few rounds. In terms of performance and accessibility, the game runs smoothly even on low-end systems, requiring very little in the way of hardware power. That makes it easy to pick up and play for just about anyone, and its small file size and low price tag further contribute to its appeal as a disposable indie curiosity. The control scheme is simple enough that anyone can grasp it instantly, but the intentionally clunky physics make true precision impossible. That unpredictability can either be frustrating or hilarious depending on the player’s mood. Steam reviews generally lean positive, with players praising it for being weirdly entertaining despite its flaws. Many seem to treat it as a party-style game to show friends for a laugh rather than something to play seriously. Ultimately, Fat Prisoner Simulator is a one-joke game that delivers exactly what it promises—a ridiculous, comical simulation of fat inmates playing soccer. It’s crude, unpolished, and entirely devoid of depth, but it never pretends otherwise. The fun lies in the absurdity, the chaos, and the brief moments of slapstick triumph when everything goes wrong in just the right way. It’s not for players looking for realism, competitive gameplay, or long-term satisfaction, but it succeeds as a piece of comedic absurdism in game form. For the price of a cup of coffee, it offers a few good laughs and a strange story to tell—proof that sometimes, the most unexpected games can be memorable not for their refinement, but for their sheer, unapologetic weirdness. Normally simulator games annoy me because they're not really simulators, they're just strange sandboxes with no real bearing in real life. Fat prisoner simulator is one game I really feel comfortable calling a simulator. I really get to understand the intricacies of this life in as much as a lower budget game can offer.
