AT FIRST, I WASN'T GOING TO PURCHASE THIS GAME AT A WHOPPING $19.99, BUT WOW AM I GLAD I DID! Meanwhile ...62.6 hours later, I finally completed Find Matt's Cats with all 90 incredibly cool Achievements! The bottom line is: Pay the $19.99 because this game is worth every single penny! There are three difficulty modes, all of which must be played in order to earn all Achievements, but I must say that each mode was unique and boredom was never a factor at any point in time. My favorite was the Hard Mode because it was really interactive, requiring you to find items and then use them in the scene. You had to find Keys to open Chests, Doors, and even Cars or to start and move Snowmobiles and Scooters. Axes had to be found to Chop down specific trees, Safe codes had to be discovered, Money was needed for the Vending Machines, and so forth. There are 12 Worlds, and each World has 7 Levels. The items to find are shown as icons at the bottom of the screen ...but wait! There's more! Each scene also has a few Character Cards to find and a whole slew of colorful Gems to find in each level, which I honestly found more fun to find than the items! If you don't mind clicking on anything and everything, you're in for a treat because everything is interactive! If it's a food item, it's yours to eat! Each animal has a unique sound; chainsaws rev up, saws vibrate, vases shatter, and trees shake their branches when clicked. (They even launch birds and squirrels to the ground!) Clicking on everything is just about the only way you're going to discover all items and complete the goals. NOTE: You are only required to find a certain % to move on to the next level if you aren't concerned with completing all 90 Steam Achievements. The Hint system is fantastic, and you are encouraged to use them! As you click on items in the scene, the Hint Meter fills to a maximum of 9 Hints, but you can earn additional hints after using them by simply clicking objects in the scene to fill the meter again. You get to choose the exact item you need help with, whether it's one of the Hidden Object Goals, a Card, or the Gems. You can use a single hint to get a vague clue to point you in the right direction without spilling the beans, or a hint that tells you the general area a specific item can be located. If you want an arrow pointing to the item's exact location, that uses 3 hints, and the good news is that using the hints does NOT affect the Steam Achievements. COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZABLE! The Gems you find are currency that is used to purchase various Mascots (Cats, Dogs, Rodents, even Devs). For example, once you purchase a Dog Mascot, it will replace the cats with dogs in the scene. You can also purchase Customized Cursors with different features, such as a Sword Cursor that will destroy things like pesky spiders with a right-click! There are all kinds of customizable settings, even a violent mode which allows you to anger some of the animals by spamming the right-click button to turn them bright red. You can type cheat codes in the main menu or world select screen to change the weather or unlock hidden features. If you type in TEST TEXT, you'll get a complete list of all the cheats available. STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS: The achievements are really fun to earn; some of them are earned just by playing, and some are earned at a specific level, assuming you are completing the level goals. The amount of care, polish, and content in Find Matt's Cats absolutely blows other hidden object games out of the water. Multiple game modes, difficulties (PER LEVEL), types of interactables, different clickable sounds for EVERY OBJECT, it's frankly absurd! Honestly, there's not much else for me to say -- if you like the genre, buy this game.

Found lots of cute cats, ate all of their food, stole their gems to replace my cursor with a crosshair, used it to snipe an Amogus. 10/10. Seriously though, very well done game, incredibly high effort in a genre full of trash; this is the first hidden object game I've ever enjoyed more than the I Spy books I had as a kid. The nostalgia sure doesn't hurt, either, but you don't need any familiarity with Epic Battle Fantasy to enjoy this game! Give it a try!
