Beneath its charming presentation lies a surprisingly engaging experience that constantly encourages observation, curiosity, and attention to detail. After completing the game 100% and finding every hidden object, I can confidently say that it offers much more satisfaction than its simple premise initially suggests. A Journey Through History One of the game's most appealing aspects is its setting. Each level transports players to a different era, ranging from prehistoric times to medieval kingdoms and beyond. Every environment is packed with small details, tiny stories, and humorous situations hidden within the scenery. Rather than feeling like static backgrounds, the maps often resemble lively illustrations that reward players willing to carefully explore every corner. The hand-drawn art style gives each location a unique charm and makes the search process enjoyable even when you're stuck looking for a particularly elusive object. Simple to Understand, Difficult to Master The core gameplay is extremely straightforward: find the objects listed by the game and progress to the next area. However, the real challenge comes from how cleverly many of those objects are hidden. Some are immediately visible, while others blend naturally into the environment or require interacting with elements of the map to reveal them. What impressed me most is that the game manages to remain challenging without becoming frustrating. Every time I struggled to find an item, I always felt that the solution was within reach if I paid closer attention. That balance between accessibility and challenge is one of the game's greatest strengths. Relaxing Yet Surprisingly Rewarding There is something incredibly relaxing about the entire experience. The game is a perfect example of a title that is easy to pick up but considerably harder to fully master. It respects the player's intelligence and trusts them to carefully examine every scene rather than simply highlighting solutions. That approach makes every completed level feel earned. Final Verdict Hidden Through Time is charming, relaxing, and surprisingly clever. What initially appears to be a simple hidden-object game gradually reveals itself as a thoughtful exercise in observation and patience. Its beautiful hand-drawn visuals, creative historical settings, and satisfying progression make it easy to recommend. Most importantly, it manages to challenge the player without ever becoming frustrating, something many games in the genre struggle to achieve. If you enjoy hidden-object games or simply want a relaxing experience that still keeps your brain engaged, Hidden Through Time is absolutely worth your time.
Easily one of my favorite hidden objects game publishers. As much as I enjoy finding cats on any given day, I love finding various objects and I love the micro interactions such as poking a little sand pile and something plops out or it's empty. Their games run smoothly on steam deck and a stylus.
