*Me* Sees this game for $20 huh, can't really be that good, it lowkey looks like a simple little phone game, but the reviews seem to say it is a lot deeper... hmmm. Well Steam gives you 2 hours of gameplay before you lose your refund. *Fast forward 6 hours later to 4AM* Oh my gosh... I was wrong about this game... Oh no, my sleep schedule. Yeah, this game is great and addictive. Hope that some future updates can add teams/conferences to help make it even better and more dynamic, but even then, it is so in depth. One of my biggest things is that you get so much control over not just the games and recruiting, but even in the settings for how the game saves. I can save every single game sheet for every single team! That is awesome to be able to look at a game from 20 seasons ago, that was just a regular season game for 2 cpu teams, and you can see every single play and stat! You can also adjust core usage from the default 2 threads, up to 8 threads for faster performance, which makes a good bit of difference. Be aware, this is a cpu intensive game. It can run on a wimpy and old 2 core cpu, but having a newer one with more cores makes a huge difference. But the thing is, it can be played! Another great stat tracker is the coaches tab. Not only can you see your history, you get an entire tab of your fellow coaching staff too! You can see all HC you played for in order, as well as all of your coordinators in order! One of my biggest things is seeing where my staff leaves and how it affects their program as well as mine. There is so much more that this game let's you track, it really is special. Schedules always show ranking at the time the game was played, not the current rankings. You can see your full roster and stats every single season too, helping keep track of your history and transfers etc. Along with that, if a player holds a record, it shows that in their tab! No more having to guess and count the record books themselves, just click on it in their tab. Shows the total number, then what each category and stat is, and League records are a different color for easier identification. Last thing I want to rant on, salaries actually have an impact on your program now. Unlike other games, where it is just what your offer is, it impacts your total budget, including NIL budget. You can overspend in the coaching category, but if you fall into the red, you have to pay it off before investing in anything else. 11/10 game that has me addicted. I mean, I coach college softball, so what better way to relax than playing a coaching sim lol!

Coming from seasoned Football Manager player, I did not expect this game to be THAT good. Now I'm kind of hooked and cannot stop. I learned things about American College Football so much here.

Do you like pain? Do you like joy? Do you like watching a 2-star recruit with like 54 speed somehow turn into a Heisman winner while your 5-star QB busts harder than a popped tire? Then you’re ready for Football Coach: College Dynasty—the game that has completely ruined my sleep schedule and free time. This game isn’t just a sim, it’s an addiction. You don’t just coach—you recruit kids who’ve never played a snap of football and somehow turn them into legends. You fight tooth and nail for recruits against fictional coaches you now hate more than your real-life rivals. You dump all your booster money into fancy facilities and then get blown out by a random Sun Belt school because your kicker has the accuracy of a blindfolded toddler. Every choice matters. Do you take the 5-star athlete who might not qualify academically? Stick with your loyal 3-star QB? Go for glory on 4th and inches and risk your entire career? These are the real questions you’ll ask yourself at 3 AM while wondering why your life is like this. The replayability is insane. I actually get emotional about my fake players. I’ll sit there scrolling through past seasons like they’re my kid’s baby pictures, remembering the glory days of my 2034 dynasty run. And yes, there’s always one more season. You start thinking, “I’ll just recruit this class real quick,” and next thing you know it’s 4 AM, you’re in a triple-overtime bowl game against the Fighting Bananas or something, and your RB fumbles on the 1-yard line. It’s not perfect—the UI can be clunky, the difficulty curve is ridiculous, and your kicker WILL betray you at the worst possible moment—but that’s part of the charm. It’s not just a game; it’s a lifestyle. Final Verdict: 10/10. This is easily the best college football sim I’ve ever played. I will keep losing sleep, losing seasons, and losing my sanity recruiting fake 16-year-olds forever. Would absolutely blow all my booster money on a 2-star punter again. Dynasty forever.
