4 hours in the Demo sold it to me. The full game is brilliant, the music, the game play, the graphics, I cannot pick fault. It's fun!. As a general rule I don't purchase Early Access or games at full price.....Fumes is a rare exception!

Right now, the game is pretty low on content, but the core mechanics are fun, and this is most important for a game in early access. Riding and shooting are done excellently, but there is still room for improvement. The game needs more content to engage, but devs are already aware of it and have plans for the roadmap.

A lot of fun, reminds you of the older car combat games. Would like some more variety in environments or even better (imo) actual designed stages. But thats a big ask for a dev team of 4 people. Really excited to follow it's journey as it gets updated over time.

This game is soooooo AWSOME!!! So to start of if you like mad max, wastelands, twisted metal or car combat, this game is a must buy, I have enjoyed every ounce of this game i have play thus far and wish only for the devs the best. It is a very fun very well crafted game were everything from the cars on how they handle to the guns and how the function, and the environments and how it feels so vast and open and just driving across those lands even if not doing missions or objective it feels so fun and great, it gives a similar vibe to old arcade racer meets car combat meets ps1-ps2 arcade graphics, the music although limited also is a banger and fits very well with the game play. but i am at a lost for words with how fun this game is other then what i have already said and as for negitives I can think of is that its not finished (cause ya know who wouldnt want more content from this absolute banger of a game) but also co-op would love to play with with a friend.

First Impressions Game carried by both it's presentation and combat. So much detail and character. In the way the weapons cartoonishly unfold from their hatches, The keys dangling on the hud, with a working transmission and mile counter. Everything ties together perfectly stylistically and looks beautiful. Even with the retro graphics, the lighting really makes this game pop. The weapons all feel great to use. Some have very specific use cases like the Flamethrower, while others feel well rounded like the Grenade Launcher. Bullets and other projectiles have a travel time feeling very satisfying when you land hits. Tied with the free aim makes the game feel buttery smooth to play but almost completely removes positional requirements. While you do have to consider what type of weapon you are mounting and which area of your vehicle you mount it to, ultimately the game coaxes a more reactionary and twitchy style of gameplay than the classic car combat games, so it doesn't feel like a replacement to those games in that sense. The map infinitely repeats whatever terrain you're in. Meaning you can drive. I mean you can fucking DRIVE. While you're moved to a different biome every time you do the last boss meaning you can't control which one you're in, it's a fair tradeoff for being able to drive literally forever. All of this dilutes down to insanely fast paced and hectic gameplay. Zooming around the map at breakneck speed lobbing grenades and point blank shotgunning anyone who gets too close is exhilarating. The loop is really just a wave shooter. Drive to a marked area, kill waves of enemy until boss spawns. Repeat until game ends. But the combat is entertaining enough to hold up for a few hours. There was an attempt at adding variety by sometimes requiring you to defend a moving bus. The enemies barely tickle the bus where I end up doing more damage to it myself. It drives very slow and detracts from the main strength this game has, which is the breakneck speed combat. I started avoiding these when I can. Races that have no combat? I don't see any reason to not just play a better racing game. Hard to tell where the next checkpoint is because they take a good second to fully light up after passing through the previous one. I end up just following whoever ends up passing me. Don't really care that these are weak as I wouldn't do them anyways as this mode Just takes away from the fun part which is breakneck speed combat. Sometimes the game can feel too easy, while other times the bosses are too bullet spongey for me to feel like it's worth turning the difficulty up. Some bosses I just end up trading with because it's faster than trying to whittle them down defensively. Maybe I'll change my mind on this and bump it up though. Songs are repetitive. They're not bad, but after playing the Demo I couldn't last 30 minutes before I had to mute. Maybe something else to do with extra weapons? I get so many duplicates I don't see why I wouldn't just upgrade since there's 0 risk of losing them now. Would be nice to exchange weapons for another type if you have enough. Also I guess this is a Strand Type game now? There are anomalies that seem to accept Cargo, but when I equipped some Cargo and went to drop some off the game said I didn't actually have any cargo so I have literally no idea how this mechanics works. Oh and where are the achievements? Could at least give us the ones the Demo came with. While the game can sometimes feel I'm going through the motions, It does feels amazing at it's strongest points, and I really do think this game should heavily focus on those strength instead of just adding variety for the sake of it.
