Amazing game that got gimped by lazy re-release "devs." As far as I can tell, it's in a good playable place, but just has no players. If you plan to play, you're gonna have to open up a private session. But be aware that you don't earn progression in custom games. You'd have to all queue up in matchmaking if you wanted to earn stuff, I guess. Baffling. Back when I still played, I remember there were a TON of player disconnects. I got disconnected plenty as well. I'm pretty sure that's still an issue. Why the devs chose to focus on including more asinine cosmetics and gamemodes (further splitting up the tiny playerbase btw), rather than just fixing the game's basic issues or just including a SERVER BROWSER baffles me. I should not be forced into matchmaking with such a tiny playerbase. The $20 price doesn't help either. Easy anti-cheat's the reason I don't have more hours on this game. When they brought that lame band-aid fix for some rando issues that nobody cared about a couple months after the game released, It would close my game immediately on launch, negating my ability to play at all. None of the fixes worked for me at the time, INCLUDING the one the devs themselves put out in the discussions channel. Seemed to have gotten fixed wayyy later (I think), but the game had no players by that point. I literally don't care about ANY of the other issues people complain about. I've played FAR worse games in FAR worse conditions consistently, and I've enjoyed them immensely. I WILL play this game when the opportunity arises, and I WILL enjoy it. The issue that persists, for me at least, is the inability to simply play my own way, with the players I want to. It's much better than the pre-release dev build version we were forced to play when the game was inaccessible to anyone for all those years, and that is enough for me. This re-release could have been so much more, but no dice. Makes me real sad. Literally the one good moba that exists.

I honestly am so sad this game has yet again flopped it deserves so much better. I see alot of complaining that the game is not free but what is not mentioned that there is no in game purchases. So yea its a one time purchase game unlike any other moba which are filled with micro transactions for skins and more. I'm not positive on the bugs experienced by some players but the devs should be surely ashamed to let something so good die off. And the players should be saddened by letting a 15$ purchase turn them away when in everyother moba including free to play ones they are riddled with micro transactions and no way of just obtaining nice things through gameplay something this game actually does have. It's just all so sad because the game is truly wonderful and so fun to play with all its quirks and unique gameplay designs

The only issue is how few people know about this game, the fundamentals are all there, the art is beautiful, the concepts are unique and fun for anyone that likes fast paced competitive games

I absolutely adore Gigantic, and likely always will. That being said this re-release is not perfect. To start there are only maybe 2 characters that I don't remember from the original, and the Rush mode which I also don't remember kind of takes away one of the most creative parts of the game, being the creature summons. They haven't added any new creatures whatsoever. Unfortunately I foresee Rampage Edition going the same way Gigantic originally did and fizzling out, BUT that is a fate I hope the community will fight tooth and nail to avoid. I'm not recommending it for the sake of the devs because this feels like a cheap cop-out, but I AM recommending it for the sake of the players in hopes that more discussion will prompt improvement. also frankly just absolutely over the moon to cause mayhem with Mozu again
