This game is beautiful, but a little clunky due to being a mobile port. Sometimes pieces don't look like they'll fit in their correct spot, sometimes the scrolling ui of the pieces breaks and stops moving, etc.. Apparently the 3rd and 4th ones are (undeclared) AI slop, so heads-up about that. 1 and 2 are before the AI slop plague, so you're clear of it here. Some of the game is blocked off via paid DLC, but the achievements are all doable without those. There are free DLCs you will need to complete the game, however. I can't say I really appreciate being teased levels I need to pay additional money for when I've already paid for the base game; it feels tacky. Generally though, a nice, relaxing experience, just with some asterisks. Sad that 3 and 4 are AI slop, I would likely buy them, otherwise.

The soundtrack to this game is so peaceful, it has kept me calm during the day and the visuals of the puzzles are so beautiful, I can't wait to play 2,3 & 4! I've been having issues sleeping at night and this has made me stay naturally tired for a good sleep tonight ^^ Super easy to 100% this, you don't need any of the DLC's to require it :)

Very beautiful. Very relaxing gameplay. I encountered no bugs and I love the soundtrack! I also like that you touch upon many national myths and legends in the pictures you put together. The only thing that annoys me is the fact you get no world overview, at least I found no way to zoom out of the closer view. And half of the screen (when you are scrolling along the world map to chose your next destination) is taken up by the last jigsaw you solved, even after re-entering the game. So later on it gets a bit tedious to find the jigsaws you have yet to solve. But that's just menu navigation - and even though I'm itching for this overview because I think it would be very satisfying to see my progress, I try to forget that during the actual gameplay. There is also a different view of your progress right at the start of the game (national flags of the countries you already visited), so I guess that will have to do...

Glass Masquerade is a good puzzle game. It’s easygoing, the music is pleasant, the art is beautiful, and the puzzles offer a nice range of difficulty (taking around 3–15 minutes each, depending on complexity). There’s no timer or pressure to rush, making for a relaxing experience. You can also leave a puzzle unfinished and return to it later, which is a great feature. The puzzles are intuitive, and it’s hard to tell what the complete picture will be until you’re close to finishing, adding a fun layer of mystery. That said, it has some flaws. The pieces are slightly larger than the slots they fill, sometimes creating a false sense of placement. Many puzzles are locked behind previous completions, not for any real reason other than how the "map" is designed. Some levels also fall into stereotypical artistic depictions. The base game lasts around 2 hours, or about 6 hours if you include all five DLCs. Seems like the most important thing to know when considering this game is that it's NOT a conventional jigsaw puzzle. If you're into those and go in expecting to do your usual thing, you'll be disappointed... Or maybe pleasantly surprised, if you're open to something different. Instead of being presented with all the puzzle pieces to sort as you please and a goal image for orientation, you just semi-blindly pick up piece after piece, see if you can find its place this time, and figure things out as you go. Trying to guess what the image is and sometimes only realizing when placing the last piece was part of the fun for me. The special aesthetics are obviously a major selling point for this game. Cool transitions into and out of the menus and levels almost make it feel like you're playing around with some kind of Steampunk device. I liked scrolling around the map to plan my "journey" and choose the next country. Having some geography knowledge probably helps with orientation, otherwise there's some educational value (: The enchanting music and the glassy sound effects when placing a puzzle piece complete the experience. It's not very nice that you can't finish everything on the map without buying all the DLCs, but I guess it was easiest to implement it that way. Also understandable that they want to advertise the DLCs, especially considering the low prices for a decently long high-quality experience. The achievements can all be... achieved? without buying DLCs. I found it a bit too easy to accidentally move the disks instead of the puzzle pieces, but it wasn't more than a minor annoyance for me. It works fine if you drag them towards the center of the puzzle. Other people have struggled with accidentally moving puzzle pieces instead of the disk, but 1. you can just figure out the visible pieces first, 2. you can rotate the disks using your scroll wheel to avoid "misunderstandings". Other than that? I often find games with "overwhelmingly positive" reviews overhyped, but this one deserves them imo.
