Awesome typing game, although I wish it had a more slower relaxed mode because I only have one arm. I can get pretty far though in the regular relaxed mode. 10/10

got adult money, will do adult things with it such as playing roguelike typing game yes yes very replayable! trial mode is always fun and im always a little bummed out that there are only 3 trials, but this *is* early access so i hope to see more bosses to test my endurance in the future. id like to see a boss that restricts attacks on minor enemies and forces you to type a sentence or phrase to break the restriction, maybe even a fill-in-the-blank for common phrases. one thing i do appreciate is how endless mode ends up being harder than trials since you lack a lot of the stronger buffs trials mode provides. this sounds like a no-brainer game design wise, but it's impressive how balanced the modes feel im really glad advanced particle effects aren't a thing here cause my macbook would grow arms to punch my face and then blow up. my only minor gripe is how the heat laser really has a readability issue especially with the boss that has you copy a paragraph. laser covers up the text and ahhhhhh i cant see!!

It's hands down the best typing game. Period. Small suggestion. When a word has a letter (s) that would set off an effect, I'd love it if that could be slightly highlighted. Maybe slightly italicized, or a light shift. Just enough for keen eyes to see, but not distinguishing.

I avoid Early Access as much as possible, but this game is already so promising. My only regret is my typing isn't improving fast enough to manage the harder Omen levels, but that's a verified skill issue. This game is very fair and rewards precise, fast typists. It's hard to imagine how it can improve, but I'm looking forward to it.

I was surprised to see Glyphica, a typing game, listed as having full controller support. Rather than just menu control or an awkward on-screen keyboard, the game features a proper controller mode in which the words that kill enemies are replaced with sequences of button inputs. If you enjoy type-to-survive games then the presence of an endless mode is enough to justify a purchase, and then the inclusion of a controller mode for casual fun just makes it even better. Glyphica handles the rogue-lite elements reasonably well. The level up menu does not pop up until you manually open it, so it doesn't break your flow. Most upgrades offer flat % increases to damage, duration, or range, but there are more impactful evolutions after a set number of kills. The evolutions on offer still aren't super exciting, but then the fun in this sort of game comes from the challenge of testing your typing/input skills and having flashy skills would just get in the way of that. The game has a decent selection of enemies. Speed, health, and attack range can vary and there are some that have other behavioral gimmicks. The tougher enemies tend to have longer words attached which makes their presence extra stressful. There is one rather annoying enemy type whose word is partially hidden and gets revealed as you type. Having to wait until a keystroke is finished to begin moving a finger for the next keystroke slows things down way too much for a game this hectic and I found myself just ignoring them and hoping AoE would take care of them while I targeted other things. The game also features bosses which do not attack the player directly and instead buff other units. Having to switch focus between minor enemies and working on taking down the boss is a pretty nice gimmick that helps make the game stand out. Glyphica: Typing Survival is a solid type-to-survive game with an endless mode and a rather fun controller option for more casual play. It's easily recommended to anyone who wants to put their fingers to the test.
