great game imo. want more items/artifacts and maybe more to do. also those who have a hard time with immortals, try to unlock and use fissure. immortals are designed to be dealt with by usage of fissure. if ya cant, they are slow and all u will need to do is goto one side of the map, lead em over then goto the other side and do what you need to. me and my friend if we dont got at least one fissure, we basically ignore immortals and clear the level asap. Edit: still great game i have broken with item combos(good btw) and wish there was mod support(maybe community can solve?) and hope they release a patch/update that adds either more difficulties, or a way to force the enemy spawns to be more challenging or something.

Fun to play, but don't start it if you are a completionist. There are achievements for getting "Omni suits" for each character. What they dont tell you is you have to pay 50 of those orbs per suit and it has nothing to do with actually completing it on 200%. It's pretty stupid.

The game is good. Really. It has enough content, unlockables, characters. Not too much, but enough. All of them are quite different and it's interesting to play with different chars or combos. Gameplay is fun, especially in coop, dynamic but easily controllable. Music is excellent, I actually would like to get an OST separately. Graphics is pleasant. Based on trailer I thought it would be too bright and flashy — but no, it's actually very well done and all of the things are easily distinguishable. So, sounds like a perfect rogue-like game? But here's big BUT! But-s (sorted by priority): 1) I'm not sure why developers are ignoring all of the messages from the early access re save system. There are no saves in the game. It was necessary, just must have to be done before release. No one in modern world is ready to play 1.5hrs+ sessions. And the pace of the game that you need to play them to get most of the fun. But you don't have time. So that leads to low online which leads to longer coop matching — like, 10–20 minutes which leads back to lower online. If it would be possible to have play sessions ~20 or max 30 minutes — there would be a lot more players ready to go for that more often. But no. 1 month after the release online is 5x lower than on the first week. So, game is dying. And I think it's one of the primary reasons. 2) Add additional progressive difficulty. 200% is working fine for the first 5 levels, but then it's becoming too easy because you're getting good build and enemies cannot stop you. It's possible to go for 2–3 hours and still easily clear levels. You will just run out of time and disconnect. There should be possibility to enable 300, 400, 500, 1000% difficulty if needed after the 5th level. Or, more costly way — add more modifiers. Acid rains, meteors, critical hits from mobs, whatever, just give some challenge. 3) And the last thing, related to the previous one — late game content. I have got 100% achievements and items in 50hrs. It's fine, but not for rogue-like. Just add hundreds of achievements, some might be unachievable without 300–500hrs in the game, doesn't matter. Give some items based on these achievements. Give the reason to play. On top of additional late-mod-modifiers and difficulty. And if the game would have these 3 points it would be perfect. But it is what it is. Just play for a few dozens of hours and forget. And only the very committed will be able to play — keep in mind, to have proper game you will need 1.5–2hrs straight without interruption. If you don't have them — don't bother with Gatekeeper, you will be disappointed.

Gatekeeper This is essentially a Risk of Rain clone but with a top-down view. It might feel a bit trimmed compared to the first game in terms of locations and enemies, but there’s still enough content to enjoy it for about 15–20 hours. The game features interesting classes that let you experiment with different builds. Overall, it’s a classic roguelike with decent music, though the limited number of map objectives eventually starts to feel repetitive. Still, it does its job well and keeps you entertained while you play. There are three difficulty levels. My friends and I managed to beat the final boss only on the first one. On the second difficulty, after a one and a half hour run and building a seemingly broken build, the boss one shot us within the first two minutes of the fight, and that’s where our journey in this wonderful game ended. I’m curious about what the third difficulty looks like. In general, reaching the final boss can take a couple of hours. The metaprogression is present but rather minimal: mostly you’ll be unlocking new classes by completing various conditions, plus there’s a chest that requires 100 special items to open. Once opened, it allows you to trade those special items for currency in the lobby, which can be spent on upgrades. The game is simple and fun. It doesn’t aim to be a masterpiece, but for fans of Risk of Rain who’ve already played it to death, this is a solid option to enjoy with friends for a few evenings.
