March 2025
Overview If the art on the cover and the name doesn't appeal to you, it's not likely that you'll enjoy this game a lot. It's a very simple game about golfing through a post-apocalyptic Earth not-so-far in the future. It's certainly got some important underlying thematic messaging, specifically about the nature of life and modernization. Especially if you choose not to play on challenge mode (but still even if you do) it's a very chill---and not very difficult--- game that lets you explore a post-apocalyptic world. That's really it. It's cool, but doesn't do anything crazy. Final One-Sentence Review: *In the midst of their pursuit of an impactful anti-modernist statement, Demagog Studio crafts a perfectly serviceable, interesting take on golf.* Sights/Sounds The game ran incredibly smoothly. The art-style is nice but nothing crazy. The standout in this department is the sound/radio. I loved listening to the interesting interviews/things they would do on the radio throughout my playthrough. Sometimes they would make political statements, sing to entertain, or just fill the silence. Little touches like giving the jetpack and chunky, movement-based noise, or having glass sound effects when breaking it, were really nice touches. Notes - The surround sound is wild - Sfx fit the game well and sound really crisp - Visual style is fantastic - 3d elements are really creative and well-used - Atmospheric asf - I love the radio sections. unironically feel incredibly nostalgic - Little touches like the noise/function of the jetpack and the shattering of glass are such nice additions - Music sometimes didn't fit the vibe or just sucked, unfortunately... - It wasn't until the 'repetition' song that i realized how much more of a statement the music was trying to make more than cultivating a vibe Gameplay There is not a lot to say here. It could easily be a mobile game. Just shoot your golf ball and get it in the hole through the (usually) well-crafted environments. There are some parts that I don't like, like the slow-ass menu in such a short, reset-heavy game, or the annoying, finnicky hazards, but it's perfectly fine for the most part. Notes - Gameplay is very simple but smooth and moderately fun - Since they have getting low stroke #'s as a feature, it should be a lot quicker to reset levels - The levels aren't too complicated, but they are very functional and look/feel cool to play through - Especially the non-golf feeling levels where you are actually making your way through abandoned environments - The gameplay mechanics like sand and water are just annoying. barely make it harder. this also doesn't seem like the kind of game to introduce difficulty for no reason like that. Make inherent difficulty, like in making impressive shots that the players can regulate for themselves. The difficulty factor there just took me out of the calming aura that the game had brought me before a little bit - I love the creative use of environmental hazards, ie. the cow Narrative This anti-modernist statement that they are pushing, whether that be through the dilapidated state of Earth, the mutant boy, or the subtle jabs at politics throughout the radio stations, they do a good job conveying their message. The runtime wasn't long enough, nor the fun factor present enough to feel particularly hard-hitting for me personally, though. Notes - The concept of going to space/other planets to play golf is really intriguing - The depressing statement-enriching post-apocalyptic story that the game tells is super interesting and ends on a very heart-touching note - Says a lot about the negative direction our society has been going in - Everything about this game is incredibly calming - the use of the 3d elements was fantastic... no spoilers but there was some moments...

Ah, what an atmospheric piece of art! The game’s aesthetic is a perfect blend of retro visuals and modern polish. A new cosmic radio from the Tesla city, filled with echoes in different languages that can’t leave anyone indifferent. The art style with its colors adds to the feeling of nostalgia, while the dynamic lighting and sound design ground you in a world that feels both familiar and new. It’s like walking through an old photo album where each picture has a new layer of meaning.

Where to start. The graphic and controls are great, the game is relaxing , 1-2 level might be a bit harder to get through however after certain number of hit you get option to skip to next level. Audio: Oh boy. The best part of the game is the audio. Basically you get a Martian music radio with some "story time" to know how was the last days on Earth, some warning from the Martian leaders regarding what is allowed what is prohibited on Mars, etc. You get to know more and more about how life on Mars by listening the radio. Also good music from radio. Interesting and relaxing. I didn't like when you had to play under the ground, there was no radio signal, no music from radio etc. On the "bad" side: some music (and the Disco "level" music) was a bit much for me and there was no option to change it. All together I had fantastic time with this game.

This game is much more irritating than anything. It's supposed to be relaxing, but the the physics of the ball are so random and bs, that the game just induces rage in me every time I play it. A lot of the stories and music are great, but some EDM pieces just don't suit this game - they would go with a shootout or a race, but not with a damn GOLF GAME. I don't know whose idea was to put these soulless WRETCHED pieces of modern dancing scene into the game, but it has to be one of the worst decisions I've seen in a videogame. And fuck the physics Edit: I've finished it. There is still something melancholic and beautiful about it. If you're not scared by shitty physics and would love to think about what it would be to be the last man on the dying Earth, you will like this game. 6/10

Interesting golf game with some twists up its sleeve Pros: - Gameplay is pretty fun - The music is good and the radio stuff is interesting to listen to - The general vibe is interesting Cons: - A game so heavy on resetting should make it very quick and easy to reset the level. Resetting takes way too long. Overall I like it more than I dislike it so a thumbs up it is
