Tentative recommendation. A really fun and fast combat system. Yet the game doesn't let it breath. Built for speed running. So unless your into that. Your probably not gonna get your moneys worth. Story doesn't carry a lot of weight unless your really into the story of the previous games. Very short. Recommend waiting for a sale.

The game is pretty good, it keeps copen's gameplay style from GV2 and brings it into a solid solo adventure Couple things to note first: -copen feels a bit slower compared to GV2, nothing too noticeable but you may need to adjust that muscle memory if you come straight from that game -the game is pretty short all things considered and the mission ranking system is a bit unforgiving like on other inti-creates games, you may not feel the urge to replay it after you beat it In general the action is kept to a high level and it will give you quite a challenge for some fights, the characters have personality and the story is quite interesting and you will enjoy seeing it to the end To conclude: get the game if it's on sale and if you enjoy the air combo aspect of copen's gameplay

Whether you're going for all the achievements or playing casually, this is probably the shortest and most streamlined of the Gunvolt games to beat. Consequently, I'll admit it's stuck with me less than the other games in the series. That all said however, it's a massive amount of fun! Copen's “the floor is lava” gameplay from GV2 is back and as fun as ever. The levels being shorter makes them a blast to replay. The boss designs are overall pretty good, and beating them unlocks some of my favorite EX weapons in the series. Finally, while most of the story is kinda meh for me, the conclusion to the game goes HARD with some really cool twists, especially for fans who've played the other games. So yeah; I liked this game a fair bit. 🙂 IX is nowhere near my favorite Gunvolt title … but “not my favorite Gunvolt” still makes for an excellent action platformer overall. Whether you're a fan or new to the series, this title comes highly recommended!

Word cannot describe how fucking amazing LAiX is. like holy fucking shit this game story are insanely good, many of the plot twist had me standing up. The music are awesome like usual. The stage progression reminds me of the Zero series. I think Copen gameplay are just an port of his appearance in GV2, in turn they made the boss and stage even more harder, so this game are for player that want a challenging action platformer game. I feel like they should've drop the 'Gunvolt Chronicle' for this game, since the game are focus on Copen more than GV, but that just me. That's all I have to say about this game PLAY IT!!!
