I will try my best not to put as much spoilers in this review because I want YOU to experience how great this VN. The reason I bought this game was because of its art style and SHIRAVUNE one of the best VN publisher I knew since I've played some of their masterpiece works, before buying this game I highly recommend that you should finish first NUKITASHI since there are plenty of references, jokes, etc about that game. Story: You'll be spending your life in prison. Tulip Prison is not the normal type of prison you see but a prison wherein sick*s per*ert*d mfs are detained. I like watching documentaries about different types of prison in countries, there are some similarities between those in the story which I like. You will see how fkd up those inmates, people will betray you, you will be bullied, and there will be a lot of enemies who will make your life miserable. It is difficult to trust other people, but those people who will become your ally inside the prison make sure to treat them properly. Prison life is fkd up, even after serving your sentence, it will be difficult for you to find a normal life, that is the reason why most criminals go back inside the prison. The story overall is good , but not life changing. One thing I hate about this VN is that there are almost no options you choose which feels like you are just reading, not playing the game. It is important to have options depending on what action you want to take, paths you will create, just like what VN is supposed to be. I will rate the story 9/10 Routes: There are a total of 6 routes it doesn't matter which route you will pick for 2-4 but I started with Noah because I like her she's the best girl. Just pick whoever you love since you need to finish all of their route before having the shuichiro route, which leads to the main story for me this has to be the best route. I expected some stuffs to happen upon reading the previous routes which is kinda predictable but I still love that they did those for that route. I will rate the routes 10/10 a bit biased for here, but I enjoyed all of it. Character Design: Masterpiece 10/10 Noah my wife single handedly carried this rating. 😭 BGM: 9/10 some were bangers specially Sister Julia bgm. Translation: 7/10 Brother idk what happened to the translation for this game it is chopped. R18 Patch: 1😭😭/10 You have to play this game with the patch in order to fully experience the game. I hope that my review will help you decide whether to buy this game or not, it is worth the price trust me, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND for you to read this VN, please support other SHIRAVUNE works as well, and I hope they will make another masterpiece in the future. 🙏🙏
Another masterpiece from Qruppo this one is a little more vague because the other two titles were quite obvious the main objective this one is less of "going from A to B" and more of a "Let's see where life takes me" still, great game has funny moments, sad moments, hype moments, etc... and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is gigantic finished all routes with 110h in it
I’ll try not to write a whole-ass essay. First, let’s start with my problems with the game. Compared to the overall experience, they are very few. My biggest issue is that some parts of the story felt *too* epic and occasionally broke my immersion. There are a few moments that feel off, mostly because of the over-the-top humor and some pacing issues. These flaws are most noticeable in Chisato’s route. As obvious as it may sound, her route was my least favorite. Still enjoyable, but clearly a 6/10 for me. As for the positives — and there are tons of them — Taeko’s route felt incredibly refreshing (sexually too, LMAO). Even though it had a few minor issues, such as the lack of romantic CGIs between Minato and Taeko, I still liked it a lot overall. The mystery was engaging, the plot was solid, and it gave a lot of important information about the world itself, especially the prison setting. The ending of this route also felt far more grounded and satisfying than Chisato’s. Sometimes, important events in the story felt a little unrealistic, but the game compensates for that with phenomenal character writing. I’m not joking, every character with a sprite is at least a 7.5/10. I said I didn’t like Chisato’s route, right? But as a character, I loved her just as much as the other heroines. The best route in the game is Noah’s route, and it’s not even close. The CGIs were incredible, the plot twists constantly kept me on edge, and I was genuinely hooked the entire time. After all, she *is* the best girl’s sister… BTW, this route along with the Grand Route, but especially this one is why I describe this VN to my friends as “the anime version of Shawshank Redemption.” Considering that Shawshank is my favorite movie of all time, this route gets a straight 10/10 from me. As for the Grand Route and the other major characters outside the heroines: Higuchi Eriko, alongside Sofurin, was my favorite character in the entire game. Honestly, I cared about almost everyone in this VN. Julia might be the craziest character ever written in fiction, LMAO, and I absolutely love it. Yuugao is a perfect antagonist because the more you learn about her, the more you sympathize with her; regardless of whether you agree with her actions or not. I love Rin. I love Ootabe. I love Ozawa. I love Kugitani. This is character writing 101. Writers should genuinely study this game as an example. Grand Route: This is Shuuichirou’s route; his journey toward understanding himself. I teared up like four ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times. Through this route, the MC becomes far less of an “immersive self-insert” type character, and honestly, I think that’s a very good thing. He isn’t just an empty canvas. We learn more about him, and he learns more about himself, which becomes one of the biggest highlights of the story. As the conclusion to the game’s philosophy and themes, the Grand Route genuinely makes you rethink your own values. 9.5/10
Im new on visual novels and for a newbie that just starts playing visual novels i had questions that if i will like visual novels or not but surprisingly this one with all routes hooked me into the game and played multiple times and will give nukitashi a try as well (don't forget patch the game from the official publisher website or yall gonna miss the whole game)
