Minagoroshi is another part of Higurashi, that exceeded my expectations. I say it often about this franchise, but it’s simply true, because it’s soo gooood. We reached the perfections with part 6, but Ryuukishi still wasn’t finished. A story about fighting the fate and reaching the dream. Through it, we are able to learn much more about the characters of this universe. The mystery around Hinamizawa is getting closer to being solved. All of this is soo exciting and fun. It makes you much more invested into the story and encourages you, to try to solve this complicated puzzle, that our protagonists must to deal with. Like always, the focus on the audio in this series is outstanding. Music is catchy and makes the story more immersive and enjoyable. The sound effects are in typical Higu fashion and add charm to the experience. Visuals following the previous parts is very enjoyable. The characters are very expressive and fitting to the style of the story. Minagoroshi didn’t fail to impress me. I can say that it’s my second favourite right after Tsumihoroboshi. Rating it is simple R:100/100

This chapter started off very strong, then turned quite boring for a while, at some point I actually got scared that the title "massacre chapter" was a joke (even despite knowing how quickly the author can turn the plot lmao). But towards the end everything turned insane on a whole new level (sometimes it genuinely felt more like Umineko than Higurashi lol) and afterwards I was left absolutely speechless. I love this series, it's genius. I DON'T WANT IT TO END. Also I always knew that Takano is peak

This is the chapter where the writer pulls the blanket and unveils all the mistery. Too sad that at this part the horror is practically nonexistent and all that needs to be told is the end of the story.

Oh man. I think I could write a whole essay about this chapter alone. Firstly, I want to say that this REALLY feels like the start of the "answers" arc. I feel that so much was told to the player and it answers so many questions from previous chapters. While it limits theories and makes the game "less fun" telling us what is actually true, I do feel immense satisfaction playing through this one. I am INCREDIBLY curious how the final chapter is going to wrap things up... however, a certain someone told me not to get my hopes up, haha. There is only a handful of pieces of media I have put this much time into and I can say I do not regret it one bit and this has been an incredible experience. ALSO, I was so excited seeing Akasaka being mentioned, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, HE HAS ART NOW!?!
