it is a bit expensive for what it is so maybe get it on sale. (which is fast and a bit rough around the edges) the art style is cool, the message is up to interpretation the puzzles themselves swing wildly from too easy to too hard to accidentally solving it without understanding the task

A stylish, evenly-paced puzzle game that uses light and shadow as its core problem solving mechanic. Using strictly visual storytelling, Iris Fall transports you through a surreal series of cryptic backdrops steadily advancing towards an ambiguous goal. Though navigation (via controller) can be finicky - and there are some blatant but forgivable visual glitches - the overall experience can be satisfying if you are comfortable waiting for the “why” of it all to be revealed. Play this if you… - Enjoy puzzle games of the intuitive, occasionally “trial and error” variety. - Find environmental and implied storytelling jammy. - Are a fan of art styles that balance minimalist color palettes against strikingly detailed set pieces. Avoid this if you… - Lack the patience for stories that demand you wait for an accumulation of clues. - Demand some degree of action and conflict - even when the point is to just solve puzzles. - Find plinky, uncanny valley musical backdrops disquieting…why is nobody saying anything? Am I supposed to be relaxed or creeped out? And what’s with that cat?? What does it all mean?!

A visually stunning game with a gothic aesthetic and charming level design, but the story was much less adventurous than what I was anticipating. I think if this game was presented as an 'Escape The Room' style game, the lack of a progressive plot would be totally forgiven - however in it's current style the puzzles are rarely being used to advance the story. A few puzzles did feel tedious due to the point and click mechanics, meaning they were less about creating a solution and executing it, but rather clicking to see what works eg: in the instance of the rubik's cube. (but this could also be indicative of my puzzling weaknesses of mathematical applications). Due to incredible graphics, a unique style and beautiful music I think this company has debuted a very impressive, albeit not overly immersive, game. GOOD CHOICE FOR: Casual puzzlers, Art appreciators, Escape the room fans

The interplay between light and shadow that forces the player to think about how to approach each puzzle in the game. Each level brings its own challenges and creativity. Enjoyed this immensely and recommend it.
