"Iron Brigade" is from 2012 in all the best ways. It's goofy and campy in pretty much every way it can think of, and takes it gameplay mechanics very seriously. Some of the balance choices directly related to the player seem a touch odd - I'm not sure why only Engineering Trenches have access to heavy turrets, for instance, but you can get all the way through the main campaign without them. I also really like the ability to replay previous missions for the same overall rewards. It's a great way to make progress, stock up on money, and test different loadouts. It's a fun little diversion of a game, and I can appreciate that.
Iron Brigade is a real treat, Plenty of items of progression, Simple enough to 100% but Challenging enough to be entertaining and lengthy. The Story is simple and entertaining along with the classic innuendo here and there. There's nothing much else I can add except for the fact that this game has not aged too well in two aspects: 1stly is the Stuttering where out of the blue the game will stutter real hard but you can ride out the wave without much issue. 2ndly is the multiplayer connections, It at times will disconnect players from the host at the beginning with the solution is getting your other friend to host, And at boss fights sometimes will boot players from the lobby. These issues are annoying yes but not game breaking and there isn't any real other problems due to the games age and I would Highly recommend.
