To begin with, I 100% this version of the game, got all the achievements and thoroughly enjoyed my time. I do have a background in IT so some of the gameplay came naturally. Given that this game is still in early access, bugs were expected. Playing early access is like paying to be a QA tester in all honesty. I'll start with the cons: CONS: -The UI is SUPER janky. I cannot express my frustration with having multiple buttons to enter/exit a device. For example, you press T to pull up and put down your tablet, and push E to utilize and step away from a PC or rack. You push ESC to view your tasks lists, which is also combined with your main menu. It gets incredibly frustrating to have to use multiple keys to swap between PC to tablet to task list while you're troubleshooting. I suggest making the tasks list separate from the main menu, and allow ESC to be used to exit out of the tablet/step away from the PC, or any other interactable. It is just way more intuitive to use ESC to leave an interface. -Cannot copy/paste from certain in game text. There is a task where you need to input a registration code for a program but you can't copy it from the email in the game. I continuously had to pull up sticky notes/notepad irl and write the code down in order to copy and paste it into the text box. You can't really swap back and forth from the PC to the tablet to input the code because every time you exit the screen on the PC to look at the email on the tablet, the numbers input in the text box on the PC are erased. This is also frustrating when you have to type in melonPink!2025 or VanquishPaprot123! or 4.235.126.95 multiple times throughout the course of one day. -The tasks become repetitive very quickly once you hit the 3rd day, but I get that the game is in early access and more content will be added (hopefully). -The map turns based on the direction that you are facing and it's disorienting at first. Should just be left static. PROS: -This game is very much like a Tier 2 helpdesk technician job where you work directly at a customer's workstation. If learning basic IT troubleshooting seems fun to you, or you have some experience and want to test your mettle, this game is a great fit. Realistically you can't bottleneck the immense amount of IT issues irl into a simulator game, but so far the devs have done a great job. I have firsthand experience in the real world with a user who complained that his computer didn't work....I had to walk him through how to turn on his computer and monitor. There are similar PEBKAC tasks in this game. -The OS is very similar to a real world OS and commands are the same as they would be on a real PC i.e. net accounts, eventvwr.msc, ping, etc. -They don't hold your hand for every task and you absolutely have to read the documentation and some of the staff emails in order to complete some of the tasks. In one instance the "how-to" contains an incorrect password that was changed and is located in a document that contains the passwords that the business uses. -Sometimes all you have to do is turn something off and turn it back on again hahaha. -The background jazz track is relaxing and I hope they add a radio option in the future. -The devs are responsive as I have gone to the discussion and bug steam pages multiple times to address things I've been caught up in. I have seen the devs chime in on some instances and acknowledge that they are aware and working on a fix. Overall I enjoyed the time I spent playing this game. It has good bones and the potential to be something great, but right now it needs more TLC. I don't doubt that the final product will be more polished and I look forward to see what comes next. Overall great job devs!!

Even though it's early access this game is great. I love that it's fairly realistic in that it operates like real computers. I love this game so I'm going to tear it to pieces on the bad, but talk highly of the moment this game became an addiction to me. The Good The realism is high with how computers work. There's real troubleshooting involved. My favorite moment so far was seeing that after I fixed a computers IP config it still didn't work. I immediately went to check if it was plugged in. It wasn't so I grabed an RJ45 and connected and it worked. Real IT skills go pretty far in this game especially if you have managed network infra. The bad The realism with computers is good, but there is stuff that is left to be desired. The repeat of issues feels like punishment. I think this game has lot going for it but I would enjoy it more if the issues made sense. For ex. I had to reconfigure port 4 on the firewall 3 times due to it not being reachable over the port. No one besides me and another competent person should be able to access that firewall, especially after I change the password. Why am I reconfiguring this multiple times? That's not realistic and puts me off. Another issue I have is where certain parts are too realistic and punishing. When a critical or high problem arises at the end of the day and I don't have the time to run and solve it before the clock runs out. It's realistic in that it can happen, but this would be a point I would consider "this is a game" and you shouldn't punish players for issues outside their control. What I want to see - Optimization tasks: I want to have the ability to resolve issues permanently. For ex. Users should not have access to changing their network settings. If I can take away that control, that should resolve those issues permanently. I should be allowed to assign DHCP to the office and warehouse devices. Static assignment on anything that isn't infrastructure is dumb. - Users are dumb: I want to be able to tell users "No" I'm not making your password security worse. - Customization: I want to change the entire infrastructure of the network. IOT devices (like the employee clock in) should be vlanned away from the warehouse subnet. I want my changes to work and stick.

I love this game so much. With the current job market, it’s been incredibly helpful in giving me the closest thing to real-world, hands-on training. Could you please add simulators for the following IT roles: Network Administrator, Cloud Engineer, Cybersecurity Analyst, IT Support Engineer, Security Analyst, or SOC Analyst?

I'm an Applications Analyst. I often refuse to play this game because it feels too realistic to an actual work day of mine. I instantly hated my coworkers, printer issues are annoying, server issues suck, badge in machines barely work, and tickets don't stop. 10/10 realistic experience.

Can't believe that I, an IT Specialist, paid to play IT Specialist Simulator. First ticket was a wallpaper change. It's just as irritating in real life to deal with end users as it is in the game. Second ticket was a printer job, I wanted to quit immediately. 10/10 simulator, can confirm it's realistic.
