"It's just like one of my japanese animes" I wasn't sure if i should buy this with the current reviews saying that the driving is bad. one person saying "it's either oversteer, or understeer" But after having played it for a little bit: The driving is fine on controller with simulation settings, kinda reminds me of NFS Pro Street, especially with the way you can tune your car to your preffered driving style. The story so far is goofy anime style but i love that, the music choices are really nice so far too. It doesn't try to hide it's inspiration (mainly initial D and internet racing culture.) It's not a game for the hardcore sim lovers, as it will also not be a game for the hardcore arcade lovers (at least as far as i can tell). It hits a nice sweet spot in between where you gotta know what you're doing, but it's not like you need to have expert knowledge to play the game well. So for the people complaining: stop being a grump and just have some fun with this ^-^

HONEST REVIEW: This game has huge potential. For an indie studio, they've done an impressive job capturing the Japanese racing game experience. Might revise this review in the future depending on how the devs handle updates over the next few months. OVERALL: 7/10 Pros: World: 8/10 This is the kind of world many racing fans dream of — a Japanese-themed map inspired by real-world spots like Hakone Town and Daikoku Futo. While it’s a bit too colorful to mirror reality, the map design is excellent, featuring narrow touge roads and wangan highways. Atmosphere and environmental details are spot-on. Cars: 7/10 A solid variety of JDM cars, with more on the way. The inclusion of quirky picks like Dekotora trucks adds charm. Props to the devs for even attempting licensed cars — bold for an indie project. Customization: 6/10 Decent cosmetic and performance tuning options so far. Hoping they expand with headlight swaps and more body kits. No livery or paint customization yet — but according to the devs, that’s coming soon. Cons: Story: 5/10 A bit cheesy and cliché, clearly inspired by manga and JDM culture. It’s fine if that’s your thing, but not really my cup of tea. Content: 6/10 Post-game activities are pretty bare at the moment. Replayability exists through story chapter replays, but overall content feels thin. Also, the Sushi Delivery missions? Not fun at all. Multiplayer would be a game-changer — even just 4-player cruising or car meets would add major value. Physics/Handling: 5/10 The handling feels janky, especially during Manji drifting. Drifting with a joystick feels weird and unresponsive. Still, considering it’s built on Unreal Engine 5 by a small team, it's playable and shows effort. Final Thoughts: This is a passion project — and it shows. A bold effort by a small indie team trying to build a dream JDM-focused racing game. It’s not perfect, but it’s fresh, ambitious, and clearly made by car enthusiasts, for car enthusiasts. 💬 Definitely worth checking out — especially if you’re a hardcore JDM fan. Keep your eyes on this one.

Game is fun but flawed and with more time it could be really good. For a little team it's definitely worth the price imo, but it has some big issues atm. Graphics are great, runs fine (but I have a 4090), no suttering on my rig (it's an UE game). Playing with a wheel is very hard, I'm not really good in drifting and I had to practice for like 2hrs before winning the first race (and setting the game on easy)... this shows my main issue with the game and that's the balance : you are thrown in a race with a bad car and no experience at all, it's very frustrating and it keeps happening. After that you get your own car and you have to do a Drift contest, except your car is stock and almost can't drift while your opponent has an overtuned drift car... you can see the issue. The AI is also really bad, traffic or opponent it's the same. Apart from that, map is gorgeous and varied, finally a game with real narrow roads. It might be the best map in any arcade racing game (played most of the others). Lastly OST is glorious, eurobeats is so good it feels like I'm in intial D. Love it !! Recommended.

TLDR: Absolutely amazing game with a room to grow. I played this game when it had a public demo and many things are vastly improved. The team is really working hard. The good: - Amazing graphics - Epic landscapes - Lots of cars and customizations - Different styles of radios - Top notch gamepad experience - The team is updating the game nonstop The bad: - The performance could be improved, which I am sure the team is working on - Lack of cloud and continuous saves. I have gone to one side of the map and next time I start the game I start at the garage. Conclusion: This game scratches the itch I needed scratched. You feel great car control but it is adapted for gamepad and feels natural. And most of all - the scenery as absolutely amazing. Yes, performance is not top of the line right now, but it is hardly as bad as some whiners suggest. I run this game on almost max graphics with 3070Ti. My advice: Buy the game, support the developers and have casual fun.
