John Wick Hex Every strategy game promises that you'll feel like the hero. This one actually pulls it off — and it does it by making you slow down. The timeline is the whole game Time only moves when you commit to an action, and everything you and every enemy do gets laid out on a bar at the bottom of the screen with an exact cost. [*] Rolling takes this long [*] Reloading takes longer [*] That guy's shot lands in half a beat So you sit there staring at it, doing arithmetic, and then you press the button and watch it play out as a single unbroken piece of gun-fu that looks exactly like something you'd see in the movies. The gap between "I spent ninety seconds planning this" and "that took two seconds and looked incredible" is the best thing about the game. It nails the tone without feeling like a cash-in The art direction is all flat color and hard shadow — comic-book minimalism that reads instantly. Ian McShane and Lance Reddick show up as Winston and Charon and sound exactly like they should. Austin Wintory's score does a lot of heavy lifting: tense strings and low pulses that make a turn-based planning screen feel like a countdown. It's not perfect Levels can blur together, the difficulty spikes are real, and if you want a power fantasy where you spray a room and walk out, this isn't it. Ammo is scarce, mistakes compound, and you will restart encounters. But that's kind of the point. John Wick isn't good because he shoots a lot. He's good because he already knows what happens next. Verdict: Recommended , especially on sale. Go in expecting a puzzle box with a great soundtrack rather than an action game and you'll have a good time.

the game is fun and the tatical / puzzle loop is also fun as you play you learn how to position yourself and move and what fights to pick. but if theres more than 2 enemies your basicly garented to take 3 or 4 damage and when you only have 10 health it adds up way too fast. you dont feel like a deadly killer when you kill someone it feels like you have a impact if you didnt pick it up in time your not missing much

Very good. Very challenging. If your health is not full in the end of thefirst mission in the chapter each level after is more complex. Quite sad it is removed. Remake would be great.
