I've seen the term "hidden gem" thrown around a lot but never have I felt it more true than here. This game is a Pang-like—assuming that's a thing—so you'll be running on a flat floor shooting at a buncha bouncing balls. This one is rather unlike any of these games I've played before however, and it's shockingly well executed for how equally shockingly unknown it is. With its tight controls and gameplay, a sense of progression and variety in level design/power-ups that's just right, as well as its polished feel with remarkable cartoony animation, I couldn't get enough of it. At first glance I was averse to the fairly generic design for the main character but it more than makes up for it with its animated charm. To even think I had that thought seems silly now. Really the biggest criticism I can think of is the lukewarm storytelling but heck, that's also technically more fleshed out than an arcady game like this has any right to be. Hopefully this review helps it gain at least a little bit of extra traction. If you enjoy arcade-type games and don't play this one you're missing out, I guarantee you.
