Although there are a couple annoyances, the game is very fun. They don't detract from the experience in any major ways, and the main game is incredibly well-crafted, rewarding, and replayable. Definitely recommended to spouses, although I would heavily recommend to not push for 100% completion - gold starring and completing all challenges and achievments is pretty damn hard. But if you settle for challenges suitable for your efforts - it's very rewarding. Personally, we settled for completing, silvering everything, unlocking all the secret hats, doing the challenges we actually enjoyed, and buying the cosmetics we liked. This way we still felt like we got what we wanted and had fun without pushing ourselves. But some one with speedruns in mind can also find this game very fun - if they can find a partner with the same goals or if they are willing to master controlling both kiwis at once.
