It really depends on what you’re looking for. This is a very niche game, so read carefully before buying ... The most important thing is that the gameplay loop of this game is extremely repetitive. What you were shown during the first 5 minutes represents the entire upcoming 10 hours. The game is all about collecting trash and throwing it away (with a few additional tasks such as drinking or repairing cards). So, this can get boring quickly. It’s probably better suited for playing casually while listening to a podcast or doing something else. At its current stage (Aug 25, 2026), the quality-of-life features and progression are also quite limited, and those minor upgrades do just enough to remind you that things could have been better. Also, if you’re mainly interested in the hentai/nudity, don’t expect much. The outfits are mildly sexy rather than lewd, and the artwork is limited, so you’ll see the same cards repeatedly. I hope more updates (as well as 18+ patch) will come soon. So, currently, the game, for me, feels more like an early-access title than a finished product. I’m giving it a positive review mainly to encourage the developer(s) to keep updating and improving it. Without future updates, I’d have to give it a negative review.

Update after the... update I suppose! First off, kudos to the devs on updating the game as actively and quickly as they have been! The August 22nd update has helped a lot with the issues I posted below regarding the completionist hurdles. Game is still going to take a bit of time and dedication to grab all the achievements, but its much more manageable now! `````````````` I tried to complete this game so you didn't have to... DO NOT DO THIS! All in all this game is decent. The initial loop is fun enough to get you through the game until you max everything out (after the patch to fix the prices that is, it was really bad before that). Getting all the achievements for the game is an exercise in frustration at best, and extremely unlikely at worst. In 13 hours of playing this game I only found ONE cereal box organically. After you max out your stats you can buy 1 box for $50k... which takes a decent amount of time to save up even with all the upgrades. You need to open 10 boxes for one of the achievements, and 13 hours in I've opened a grand total of THREE. Either I am extremely unlucky, or the cereal boxes are far too rare. Don't even get me started about trying to get all the cards to Holographic... that would take an ungodly amount of time that no one should be spending trying to get it. I recommend the game, but cannot recommend you even attempt to 100% it. You will not have a fun time.

I don't write reviews, but a lot of these "not recommended" reviews are pissing me the hell off, so I want to tip the scales back a little. I sincerely think that there's a severe lack of managing expectations going on. From what I've seen in the promotion of the game, the trailer, and testing the demo out, the devs haven't made any wild promises or released something unplayable. What's shown is exactly what you get on the tin. I have some minor quibbles about UI issues, but the devs have been pretty great about responding to similar issues, based on other reviews I've seen. Things about this game I think that are great and make it worth picking up: the art, the humor, the overall chill vibe of the gameplay. It's a game about cleaning up trash and collecting things. It's simple. Mindful. A nice way to kick back and relax for an hour or two. And you get some quite literal cheeky art along with it. My main point is this: this game costs seven dollars. Seven. Dollars. As of writing, it's currently on sale for $5.59. People on Steam who write reviews like it's their ♥♥♥♥♥♥' job or something act like this is at a price point of $30 and above. Which, if it was, I can see holding it to a higher standard. I also understand wanting more out of a game or hoping to suggest ideas that could improve upon the core gameplay loop, but like... seriously, y'all. It's SEVEN dollars. I think that's pretty damn generous considering what you actually get. The style is polished as hell and it's coming from a relatively small development team. Half of these reviews read like someone walking into Taco Bell and complaining that the flavor profiles aren't rich enough. Like, what do you *want*? You've all seen the same stuff that I've seen around the game, so I legitimately don't understand the negativity. I don't want to sound like I'm disparaging this game by calling it simplistic. I think that's a wonderful strength for the premise. Y'all need to take a step back and stop acting like this is coming from a AAA studio and recognize it for what it is. One thing I think would be a fun addition is a model viewer of all the trash you've picked up. There's a lot of fun art that I'd love to get a closer look at. If you're looking for a game to play after a long day of work to just vibe out to while listening to a podcast, this is it. If you happen to enjoy booba and butta, there's plenty of that here too. If you want extremely detailed mechanics and a depth of gameplay where you can micromanage every aspect of picking up trash- maybe look for something else. I just bought the supporter pack. I hope to see more from KotaMota games.
