I only bought it to support the company; I had been using the free one for years. easy-to-use drawing software that has lots of tools for creating art. It's a great choice for both beginners and experienced artists because of its helpful features ♡

I love Krita but you should instead donate on the main website at krita.org/en/donations/ because Steam takes a 30% cut. However, if you want the latest stable version of Krita this is your best option, on Arch Linux I had two instances of an update corrupting my work (most likely user error, and thankfully I keep backups but I'm not taking chances again).

I LOVE KRITA <3333 The program is free to get on their site and it has no locked features whatsoever despite being an extremely good drawing software. Only buy it if you want to support the devs (and/or if you wanna track your hours spent drawing) ^-^

Obligatory PSA : This software is free on their actual website, the version on Steam is basically a convenient way to donate to the team while getting updates automatically + tracking your hours. While not the best art app feature-wise and requires a bit of tinkering to get it set up to how you're used to if migrating from some other apps (CSP for me), it's become my go-to because it does pretty much anything I want without much fuss. No features are locked behind a paywall or need a subscription. It just works and it's great. There's also a solid amount of external resources (brush packs, tutorials, etc) as well as a still active community for support when needed. Overall strong recommend, esp. if you're looking to move from something like Adobe.
