Yes IF the game is on sale. Took me five hours to be like 'yeah I'm done'. I grinded for more achievment but it get boring real quick. Very nice idea overall just need more to do in game to justify a high price. It's ok at ten bucks tho.

This feels wild to say, but this might be my perfect hyper-fixation game. Resource management? RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT?! My silly little townspeople falling in love with the people they're not supposed to fall in love with???!!? Perfectly salacious! The only thing I find tedious about this game is the UI (which is often in the way), and the first 20 minutes where you find your ground. The explanations for new things take some time to learn, but I find the game mechanics fascinating, and it's nice to have things not work out to perfection. Perhaps I'm a bit simple-minded. Perhaps I love the control of putting people together and watching their lives unfold out of my control. Perhaps I adore a good civ game, and this is a civ game in the most abstract, girlypop kind of way. Either which way, I have thought about this game regularly in the last 2 and a half years since it released, and when you have a boring, winter day with nothing to do for the next 3 days, starting a new save is the perfect activity to take your mind off the world around you.

The pros of this game slightly outweigh the cons. It started really fun, though honestly I can't see myself going back to it that often. Maybe it's just because I selected the longest game mode (100 in-game years), but it became pretty repetitive towards the end after I'd already upgraded all the buildings. I imagine it would be more engaging if played on the higher difficulties so that resource management was more important, as I did find the social / romantic dynamics kinda lacking. The art style is really cute, and I liked looking through the fully rendered pieces you can unlock in the gallery. All in all, I do still recommend the game at least for a one-off playthrough. Maybe just wait until it's on sale!

It's a fulfilling time sink if you love village management with romance and medieval vibes. The art is so charming and really keeps the game compelling. It has an addictive gameplay cycle like a much more simplified version of Civ or the Sims. Recommend getting on sale though, as I think it has too little content and depth to justify full price. Worth getting lost in for a day or two.

I absolutely adore this game, it's definitely one of my top cozy games to wind down with. With both matchmaking and lineage aspects with a sprinkle of challenge, plus the cutest art style for the characters makes it a game I can't help but keep coming back to. However, I feel like it had a little more potential and the Devs dropped it to pursue other games and it kind of breaks my heart. They put a warning that endless mode is unsupported and gameplay may be effected, but how can I dedicate my time to a kingdom for only a 100 year span? It was finished enough, I guess, but I thought they were going to work on it more.
