A very, VERY good game held back by a plague of minor QoL issues. At it's core, it's very good! There's a ton of different units you can hire, a lot of different strategies you can plot out, tons of items you can equip on them, perks you can train them in, and there's even a faction system that can vastly change how you build your army of gladiators. For example, if you side with the Baroness, you'll be able to recruit high-end royal guards focusing a lot of being bruisers, but if you side with the High Necromancer, you get access to high-damage dark mages and his roided out executioners. ... And if you side with the people you get a bunch of hobos, because why not, y'know? I don't feel like i need to explain why the game is good too-too much, if you like auto-battlers, this is UP THERE, definitely one of the best I've played in a hot minute... But again, there's just... So many- SO. MANY little issues I hope get remedied. For starters, there's no button to automatically organize your inventory, least to what I've seen. Not a problem early on, but when you get a fat inventory full of consumables, gear for different classes, and univeral items with game-altering passives, things get cluttered, and it's a PAIN to get it all sorted out. Same for Gladiators, no quick button to just organize their bar. If there IS one and I can't see it, please tell me, because it can get really annoying. Second, no pre-set formations you can make for your gladiators. This is not an issue early game since you have so few, but later on you'll be organizing a team of 10 or more guys per mission, and you gotta set them out the same way every single time. It gets really tedious, especially in questlines where you're just organizing them for BASICALLY the same fight you just did last in-game week, but now there's 2 more guys. Finally, and this is my personal biggest one, quests are DRIP-FED to you, and random in nature. There are so many long stretches of you just waiting the month away and you get a random job from one of the 3 factions, or sometimes a neutral party. You cannot pick what quest to undertake, only if you refuse, taking it out of the picture forever in the process, or you can accept it, and possibly get 2-4 follow-ups to that questline. It can get REALLY annoying because you might be trying to get buddy-buddy with a specific faction (which, again, rewards you with faction unique gear and gladiators), or MAYBE you really want to lean your run into a neutral faction's unique units (Like the questline that gives you permanent access to caves dwellers, and by extension, Rat Archers, the devious swines), but the people come groveling to you about some mundane nonsense who you have no affiliation with, and you gotta reject them even though to pay is good, otherwise the next month of your in-game life will be helping them. In the game's defense, there's no "time limit" despite there being a technical "calendar" system, but a lot of the quest system feels designed to waste your time like a gacha game randomly diving you a quest every week, and I really, REALLY don't like that, again, ESPECIALLY if there's something I really want to prioritize such as my alliance's main quest (which btw I have no idea where I am with the High Necromancer and if I need to be stalling for time to get more quests from him or not). If you can get past all that, this is still a really good game. It can just get on your nerves with some of it's design decisions now and again. I do highly recommend if you like this sort of genre of strategy.

Honest review: Pretty good game, it has technically 3 different endings, and will take you about 4-5 hours to complete each. The story is silly. Its pretty fun and unique tactical game. I got it for free, so I'm going to say it is worth it. Would I pay for it..... I'd pay a dollar or two for it. If you like honest reviews, please hit that like button or troll me in comments. Have a great day!!!

Sometimes you buy a game because you’re in the mood to manage a team of gladiators. And sometimes you buy it because you’re avoiding doing your laundry. Either way, Gladiator Guild Manager is a fun little game. The concept is easy to understand — you build a team of fighters, you make them punch and zap each other in small arenas, and then you do it again, but with slightly fancier boots. The campaign gives you a nice reason to keep playing. The endless mode is there if you want to feel like you’re doing something impressive, even though it’s mostly just numbers going up. There was a bug after an update that deleted my entire roster… except for two guys who became completely unstoppable. Kind of like when my boss downsized my department, replaced everyone with much more efficient, unstoppable AI. Now I have more time to play GGM I guess. Anyway, some classes are clearly better than others. But there’s a nice sense of rock-paper-scissors balance, like schoolyard arguments or deciding what to wear outside in autumn. I chose rain coat but I draw warm sunshine again wtf This isn’t the best game you’ll ever buy. But it doesn’t need to be. It’s the kind of game you pick up for a few quid, play for a weekend, and then remember two months later like an oddly specific dream. You won’t tell your friends it changed your life. But you might smile when you see it in your Steam library and think, “Oh yeah… you.” Pretty fun out of 10.
