I wish I had more answers about the bugs and or glitches, I have yet to experience those. I do have to say the military stuff seems like something that's for in the very late stages of the game. I just like how cozy it is. I have mods from the community page to decorate my villages better (those trees glitch out a lot). I like how easy it is to be able to calculate how much food is needed. In a lot of city builders, that's where I always get messed up. I never have enough workers to produce the food needed and it turns into a never ending loop. This is very laid back. If you're just looking for something to play when you really don't want to use too much brain power but still want the little tasks—super cozy. I do not use the war/military stuff. I play pretty passive. I also do not farm because food is so easy to get! The tutorial is a bit odd though. If you follow it exactly and don't deviate—your people will starve first because, I cannot remember if it makes you wait too long to establish a food source or if it just skips that entirely! All in all—if you're looking for a simple, basic, aesthetic Viking city builder—this is great!
A nicely made lilttle civilisation management simulation in a viking-setting. Works decently on Windows 11 25H2. Due to the well-made tutorial not many questions are left and the speed of regrowth of the natural resources is sufficient. Step by step the player is guided to become a great Jarl and managing his growing community of Vikings. The achievements are doable without any guide - they are self-explanatory enough to just play and get them. Some things are more annoying than others - e.g. the placement of the farms for wheat and barley is quite tricky if one wants a decent sized one. The other challenge is for the player to constantly monitor the employment bar to refill dead workers, as to not run otu fo certain resources. But yes, a definite recommendation.
It is a little bare-boned, and lacks some depth in places, but I think on the balance this game is fine. As other reviews have stated, the atmosphere and attention to villiagers is nice. There are definately issues which are aluded to in other reviews, I don't think it outmatches the positives. All in all, lacks a little depth, but overall is fine. Not great, or even good, but its fine.
