Little Inferno is a game that in some sense hides very little from you. You have a fireplace and a bunch of things to burn, godspeed Guy Montag. It’s catharsis in its purest form: context, value and narrative become irrelevant since everything turns into the same ash. Simple and satisfying. But then again, is it? Little Inferno may present you with a seemingly shallow face and if you want that’s all there is, but truthfully there’s something else going on. Tomorrow Corporation is willing to ask some difficult questions and propose some unpleasant truths if you can pull your eyes away from the fire. It’s rare to see a game that has such mastery over the narrative and meta-narrative that simply playing the game inexorably puts you within the story and makes you a participant. But despite having Tomorrow Corporation’s iconic dour tone, Little Inferno is perhaps their most uplifting game if you’re willing to go the distance with it. Until then though, your Tomorrow Corporation™ brand Little Inferno™ will always be warmed up, just for you.
Little Inferno is a creative and entertaining game that's certainly worth checking out. The gameplay stays fun throughout, and I only wish I'd discovered it sooner. It runs flawlessly on the Steam Deck, making it a great game to play anywhere. If you're an achievement hunter, be aware that some of the achievements are locked behind the DLC.
THIS IS A LITTLE INFERNO JUST FOR ME!!! I've beaten this game more than 10 times in my life. And I finally bought it on Steam and even streamed it live. It’s a pure masterpiece. The perfect balance between gameplay, story and those funny hand-drawn graphics. Playing it always gives me this warm, fuzzy feeling. It feels like sitting by the fireplace, keeping warm while there's an eternal winter outside. Also, the ending breaks me every single time :,) If for some reason you haven't checked it out yet, do yourself a favor and play it right now.
