This game is so peak its like flying a jet but on crack while listening to such an amazing soundtrack that you need to listen to afterward. IT IS SO GREAT

I'll glaze this game endlessly because I love it. It's like Devil May Cry with jets. Frenetic, fast action. Dogfights in the sky filled with hostile jets, fights with big mechs and also comes with a surprisingly nice story and charming characters. Also the soundtrack is the best.

spiritual successor to Luftrauser. very similar gameplay but Jet Lancer has a (light) story and missions. very fun game, very enjoyable movement feel and weapons. if youre a fan of Luftrausers and been waiting for a sequel all these years, this is the game for you.

Fast-paced, good-feeling game about doing flips and pressing the dodge button. I like the arcade feel of racking up huge combos, and there's a good rhythm to nailing perfect dodges and managing the cooldowns of your rockets and special weapon. I do have a few gripes: - Many of the weapons feel questionably viable to aim on a controller, though I can appreciate that they behave differently enough for that kind of precision to matter. - Would appreciate a more zoomed-out camera. The parallaxed background is not a clear indicator of altitude, meaning you have to play it very safe whenever you accelerate downwards just because you only vaguely know how far away the ground is. - Wish that there was more structure to the level design. The game features a lot of unique enemy types but I don't feel that they're effectively used once you've seen them all: many levels boil down to endless planes spawning and coming at you from random directions. More predictable enemy compositions and behavior would make loadout planning more rewarding and add to the arcade feel. I like the core gameplay loop enough to nitpick about these things so clearly it works well in spite of these issues.

I already liked the game as is but that Newgame+ really was something else. I also was not ready for the (true) ending, that ♥♥♥♥ was phenomenal. 10/10
